Good book but could use a proofreader.
I enjoyed The Little Book of CLOUD COMPUTING. It covered a broad swath of the popular cloud technologies. His book covered areas of cloud that I wasn't aware existed. It is very current and must have been rushed to market. There are some errors that a good proofreader would have easily found.Page 59. "Google's approach also offers compatibility with Android. Robots. The Robots will....".Page 66. ".[drop a footnote with the backup for this statement]"Misspelled words: w ell, ynchornize, coimplete. But I'll take current, cutting edge info over perfect. Good Book!

Very nice intro into today's Cloud offers
This book is short, but it provides a provides a very nice overview and introduction into today's cloud offers. It was updated with info from late 2012. It is a quick read. Some might think it does not provide enough detail, I do not think it was the book's intent to provide tremendous detail on this topic, but, rather to provide a simple overview introduction into this topic as well as an overview into some of the largest cloud providers in the market today.

Waste of time and money
This has to be the worst business book purchase I have ever made. The book consists of chapters which are simply a list of the products of a series of companies in the cloud computing industry alonside the marketing blurb from the companies about their own products and a few quotes. ALL the material from this book can be gleaned by visiting a few websites. There is no analysis, no objective assessment, no explanations about the differences between products, nothing that would make this a contribution to understanding.this complex technology change. There is consant reassurance using emotional language about how excellent one product or suite of products are with no justification or evidence.Far from this being a good introduction, its a gallop through a series of industry jargon laden sales pitches. There are typos and grammatical errors through-out. At one point they have even left in what was obviously an authors note to remember to include a footnote to back up a statement he just made. This book has not seen an editors desk and should never have been published except as a blog which I would spent 30 seconds on and dismiss as a waste of my time.

Not bad as a primer
A good introduction to cloud computing. The book does spend an enormous amount of time on the major players in the cloud computing world. Not much information on the down and dirty technology end of things; however if you want to know the overall current business model for cloud computing and whose winning that game... This is your book.

Concise and very informative
The book could easily be read in a day. The ideas and the options available were very clear. I passed it to our senior managers with highlights of the important features.

Lacks substance and almost completely disorganized
This book is 100 A5 pages with very wide margins, so it really has minimal content. Much of the material has been gleaned from web sites, and a substantial proportion is literal quotations. There are no references or further reading at the end of the book to help the reader follow up on anything they have seen in the book. The material in the book is haphazard, and almost completely disorganized. It seems as though the author has been looking into cloud computing and put his notes together as a book. Still the material is topical.

Advertising
Overall this book gave me a good overview of the current status of cloud computing. However, at times it felt like reading an advertisement. I also had difficulties to distinguish between quotes and the authors own words. Nevertheless, considering the price, I don't regret having it purchased.

This book is basically ads and quotes of sales pitches for various cloud providers. I don't know why this book could get publish.
