This works great! Very reasonable.

They could be "pointier" to get under staples, but I fixed that by making them "pointier" by rubbing them on a sharpening stone when they were "open". The "lock" also tends to be difficult to open, but you don't really NEED to "lock" it unless you're worried about your small child using your newly sharpened staple remover to staple-remove the cat, that might not work out terribly well.
