Great for beginners & experts
A great book to learn the basic chords for beginners & also a great reference for those who have been playing guitar for years.Highly recommended.

So useful.
I started playing 10 mths ago and this book has been invaluable. It is really clear and has a huge range of chords ( and alternative ways of playing them). The ring binding means it stays open easily. The size is perfect for keeping handy or fitting into my guitar bag. It was recommended to me by a guitar playing friend who still uses it occasionaly after years of playing.

Fantastic book for beginners
Really like the page size pictures, no mistaking chord and finger placement. Would recommend to people learning to play guitar.

Useful
Very well set out with clear finger positioning for each chord in either one of two positions on the fretboard.I guess aimed at the more dedicated and professional player as there seem to be many chords that one wouldn't be using as a 'noodling' player. Nevertheless excellent reference material in an easily accessible format.

pretty good, but not perfect (a complete, honest, review)
Okay so I just want to say that I'm not a beginner to guitar, I think this book would serve beginners incredibly well and even just people who don't know their fretboard very well. The book is easy to use, a good size for carrying in a backpack and a great little thing to carry round. Its easy to read and understand, it tells you how to read the diagrams at the beginning if you dont already know how to and its a book that could really help you if you're just starting your guitar exploration. This review is harsh, but in no way is it a bad book. However as an intermediate player looking to become more of an advanced guitarist, I must say that this book isn't everything I thought it was. I bought this book expecting to find 4 voicings for every chord but it simply doesn't. The problem that I have is that for me, this book is just showing you the same chord shapes over and over, but on a different root note (hence why I think this is a great book for beginners or people who need to study their fretboard). Unfortunately, this book only shows 2 chord shapes for every basic chord, and then as the chords get more complex, we only see one chord shape per chord which kind of bums me out a bit. I was looking to expand my knowledge of chord shapes and this book did that to a degree, but not as much as I was hoping. My second problem with this book is that It doesn't tell you directly which intervals are which. It tells you the notes of the chord and what the corrolating interval is, however it leaves it up to you to figure out which note is which in the actual chord shape. Some people may see this as a good thing as it kind of makes you think about your fretboard and figure it out on your own, but with me already knowing how the fretboard works, personally I find it a bit of an inconvinience.Overall, if you're within your first 2 or so years of guitar playing and don't know much about chords, then this book is probably going to change your life and become your best friend from here on out. If you've studied a bit of music theory, then this book will still aid you and probably help you snap to your chords a bit quicker and aid your understanding of the fretboard. But if you already know multiple voicings of most chords and are looking to expand that knowledge further, then maybe this isn't the book for you.Ive heard they do an advanced version of this book which may suit my needs better, but have yet to check it out.
