I bought this bottle for travelling to avoid buying so many plastic water bottles. So far it's worked out great! It does have some flavor from the filter the first few weeks but over time this improves. Also when filling the bottle, make sure to squeeze most air out of the bottle before sealing so that the water will flow through properly for drinking.

Was as expected, good quality and worked as described . A must have for bike packing.

After a few months I've noticed this has a bit of a chemical smell/taste to it. But besides that, it's been leak proof and it's holding up well. Not the easiest to dry completely because the material is so bendy, but it's been great! I use it whenever I travel or go on a hike -- it's a lot easier putting it in my travel backpack because if I run out of room I can just drain out the water. I also use this in my ski-bag as it contours easily and doesn't stick out and make getting on a lift jarring.

This product is easier to sip out of than I initially thought. Not sure about the filter part as I am just testing at home at the moment. But I do have to say the plastic taste is there. But I am getting it to filter the bad stuff so I am ok and expected the plastic taste as I have another bottle that is similar that I use for snowboarding. Only thing is it does take less effort to drink and I can see how it can be useful to pour filter water out of this unit. I chose this just in case sipping was hard and I could still squeeze water out to help me drink the water. Would recommend but be warned of plastic taste.

A little small but because it's flimsy it's good for a quick run. I'd get the next size up for more water. The straw inside is a life straw mini which is cool. Multiuse and definitely worth the money.

Used this to filter water at Eagle Rock Loop. It was great. Not too hard to squeeze, water came out clean, packed down small enough to fit my back pack, and all around was just designed good. Will keep using it moving forward.

Bought this product for a trip to Asia in Fall of 2024. To test it out I brought it on a trip to New York City. Filled the bottle with NYC tap water that I test tasted beforehand. Later that day I took a drink from the Lifestraw without the filter. The water was disgusting tasting. So i put in the filter and primed it, etc. Still the water tasted foul.Back at the hotel I replaced the water and again, not good. Dumped out the contents and removed the filter. New water, same result.Do not purchase this product if you intend for general use as a water bottle.Because I waited to use it, I can no longer return it. Double bummer.

I traveled for 7 months around the world, through dozens of countries, with Lifestraw 3/4 liter metal insulated bottle.My problem was the size and weight. The filter worked great and I drank water daily from any water source I could find.After great use, I've changed for Lifestraw's smaller and much lighter soft bag water bottle. I need to 'travel light' because living out of a backpack for months requires size and weight to be small. Especially because I'm 73 years old and can't carry a heavy backpack.
