SteadyRack Fat Rack

Bought two of these; one fat tire and one fender.This fat tire rack moves smoothly and is a breeze to mount/dismount bike without mount moving.BUT the rear tire holder bracket they use with this is nowhere near wide enough for a fat tire to fit into. As a matter of fact it's the same size as the regular tire rack bracket that came with my fender rack.All in all this rack is worth that not being useful. We're going to attach a piece of metal sheeting on the wall where both tires are now marking up my wall. Problem solved.I just wish they'd replace my fender rack because it really is a bitch to use and I may end up just returning both.

The rack itself is a great, sturdy design. It even fits my 5 inch fatty with a fender on it (the fender is only attached on the wheel at the stem area). I knocked a couple stars off since they give you the same size rear tire piece that they put in the normal steadyrack. My fat tire doesn't get close to fitting in it and slips out when I pivot the bike off 90 degrees. Seems like a poor design consideration. I reached out to the seller thinking this was a mistake in packing the box, but they quickly responded that this is what the manufacturer puts in even the fat bike and is only meant for keeping the tire off the wall. However, when you pivot the bike (the biggest advantage of this design) it slips off and the bike sways into the wall anyhow.

Great product if you are a bike enthusiast. It saves space in the garage for several bikes. Muddy mountain bikes now do not need to touch the wall and make a mess of your garage.
