The vent works as it should. Light weight so louvers could easily dent if mishandled. No problems with install. Opens and closes smoothly when auto attic fan kicks on. Quiet too. Functions well. Cannot speak to durability but so far I'm happy with purchase. Super cool to watch the vent open when auto fan turns on. Hoping that the exhaust set up we created pulls all the hot air from the attic and cools the house for the coming Florida Summer. We bought the Quiet Cool Green, this vent matched it perfectly. Hoping to save a few bucks on the power bill. If stats are correct the investment would have paid for itself in the 1st year!

The embedded female nuts are M6-1.0 screw type... in case anyone is interested: had to figure it out by trial and error... using it for a shed and did not want kids hands going in with curiosity and encounter a metal fan blade... would be nice to have an option of a shield to crew on since a adapted a fan and not used one that directly attached to it

Purchased to replace a plastic louver (that broke) for my gable end attic fan. I wish that I had bought this in the first place. It wasn't an exact match to the plastic one, so it required some installation modifications, but it has worked flawlessly. It's pretty quiet when the fan isn't operating, except when experiencing extremely high winds, which is understandable. Great product.

We love these fans. There was a definite improvement in our electric consumption, which is huge here in Florida. They are inaudible in the living areas and the garage and it is a one story house. Our undersized AC was able to maintain set point inside our home for the first time all summer long, and this was the hottest summer in history here. Worth it!
