If u are self installing u must atleast have and know basic electrical and both mechanic and electrician type tools. Also MOST IMPORTANTLY u must know what kind of locking system your specific car uses. This system is especially useful for the lowest model cars that didnt come with power locks. My car uses the old school multi rod links with push pull knob locks so this universal kit was perfect. Now that i installed it it works great i will say tho it took couple tries in finding a good location to mount the poppers in door as certain areas will bind once the door panels are on and/or if windows roll up/down but once i got that settled. i made it so hazards flash instead of parking lights. There is a sound wire u can connect for horn or siren but imo the duration is wild long (as if someone was about to crash on coming and just blows horn kind) so i didnt use it, the light flash is good enough for me. Cool feature is the main driver door will act as ur power door lock switch for all the doors so once your in and everyone else is in u lock our door the rest locks too no matter by key, remote, or manually pushing lock knob same for unlocking. VERY SATISFIED

Stumbled onto these by hapinstance.Installed in 02 Ford f150 that I've been fumbling with keys forever...A little work locating the perfect location to mount, but I took my time and tada.... ONLY installed the lock unlock feature. Bypassed the lights flashing and horn signal...I lock my doors while watching it lock. It's all the confirmation I need... ONLY negative to me is the keyfob I received are a bit big and bulky.

Don't bother installing this on cable lock doors without buying a bracket kit, or if you're lucky enough to have metal parts on your lock actuators and enough room for the motor still left overIt's doable but i'm unsure if it was worth the time and effortNot for the faint of heart, either pay a pro to install this or push your car off a cliff for a newer model that comes with power doors (anything past like 1980)

Cool idea if it worked long term. Installed wiring and actuator in door and under dash. Clicks a lot, but does not respond to the remote. No pairing instructions that worked.

It the trunk button is set to flash car lights not for the trunk actuator and there are no instructions to assist.

Its a good product if you don't have power locks but its not a walk through the park to install. for most average people that don't know much about cars it would take maybe 2 days if you have the full 4 door.

The KEYFOB range is less than 5ft from the car, might as well unlock with the key. The lock operates when the FOB button is release, not pressed. Just another piece of Chinese CCP junk! Don't waste your money but most of all, your time.
