SCSP SNIA Certified Storage Professional All-in-One Exam Guide (Exam S10-110)

I am counting on this book to get me ready for the SCSP test and I really do need to learn about .NAS, cloud storage, and other modern ways for storage. So far so good. It's the professional well covered format as all the All in One's series

Good content, Islam to exam in Dec 2017.

This book is a very thorough, and the author is extremely knowledgeable about the many topics this book covers. When it says "All-in-one" it really is ALL you will need to learn effectively the information needed. This book isnt just for people taking the Exam, this book is a GREAT resource for anyone working with storage on any level or platform.

As early as chapter one I wondered why it seemed as though the author was referring to 2013 technologies as recent. So I checked the copyright page, which says 2017, and kept reaidng. Then in chapter 2, I saw "FC is expected to operate at 32 Gbps by 2014." Gen6 FC came out in 2016. A book really written in 2017 should cover that. They slapped a new copyright date on an old book. Now I'm second guessing the relevance of this book to the test in 2019. Is the book full of outdated answers? Or am I supposed to answer test questions with what would have been true 6+ years ago?

I would expect a technical book such as this to be accurate, but when there is a glaring mistake already in the 1st Chapter's test the book loses immediate credibility. No. 8 is NOT correct. 2 128GB drives in a mirror DO NOT equal 256GB of storage capacity as the requirement states in the question. How can you possibly trust the rest of the book if it is not proofread for mistakes?

Eric Vanderburg does a great job at walking through the more basic information, to build a strong base to work off of for the more difficult material and processes.

This book successfully covers the SCSP exam objectives and it includes helpful exam tips. I found the content including the practice exam questions to be spot on for the exam.The author explains each topic comprehensively throughout this almost 500 page book. This book is detailed, readable, and engaging. Not only does this book serve as an excellent certification prep guide, it is a great storage resource after getting certified.Apart from traditional storage solutions, this book also goes through cloud storage and cloud services. These topics are beneficial for all those who have workloads deployed in cloud or planning to migrate storage to cloud.This book aims to help you pass SCSP exam and it lives up to its expectation. Additionally, this is a handy reference for all professionals working with storage as it helps you understand key storage concepts such as Virtualization, Storage Tiering etc. along with real-life examples.
