I bought this to record lectures, but I found negligible difference between it and my phone's built-in mic. Maybe I'm supposed to be buying a different kind of mic for this? But this was among the first search results for a lecture microphone. On the plus side, this includes two connectable long cables.I tested on my new iPhone 8, using Apple Voice Memos app.- I stood. I held the phone to my mouth, and I spoke. I placed it on my desk, and I spoke. I walked to the opposite corner of the room (eight steps away), and I spoke.- I repeated the test with the microphone.I listened to both recordings using ear-cupping Bose headphones.- The only difference I heard was when the phone and mic were held directly before my mouth. The phone had some distortion on consonants, the mic had no distortion.- Otherwise, at the distance of arm's length, and from across the room, I heard no difference.

As long as you plug the cord into the DVcam properly, the sound is great. (On one occasion, all I recorded was a really loud hum. But then I tested it and when I made sure it was plugged in all the way, it was fine.) The zip case is really nice to have. One note: even with the 79" extension, the subject can only be about 10' from the camera, which doesn't allow much walk-n-talk. So I needed to purchase another extension.

The media could not be loaded.  As you can see in the video (recommended to watch to hear the mic quality) everything comes in one nice pocket sized carrying case, the mic extensions come in two convenient sizes, there extra mic cushions, and the alligator clip grips well.The sound quality is a lot better than my bluetooth lapel mic and has a better clip. The low price definitely makes the deal that much sweeter. Overall, its a great product for an even better price!

I liked the fact it comes with a hard case and all the attachment also fit in the case.

The first mic I received was messed up but the owner was really great about sending me a replacement. He kept in contact with me every couple of days to let me know he hasn't forgot and was completely professional. The mic is great quality and comes with 2 extending cords in a special case. You really can't go wrong with the price, I will be buying 2 more for gifts.

Good value and good sounding lav for the iphone. I use this with my older iphone 5 and the RODES app. Great production recorder.

Awesome mic for it's price. Comes in a really comfortable case that fits in any pocket and has a long extension cord. I bought this one for my wife as she needed to record a voice over a video for one of her classes and this little buddy worked perfectly. You'll get a much better sound from it than any phone or action camera.

This is a great little mic for the price. Quality metal clip and foam cover. Very long cable and extension cable. The long cord made it to easy to clip on to your shirt. I clipped it onto a cup about 3 feet away from me and still got dramatically better sound recording with my Samsung S7 then without it. Got this at an incredible price and highly recommend it.
