Echo Mountain

I've been an avid fan of k's Choice since around 1995 or so when Paradise In Me came out. Top 40 hit, Not An Addict splashed onto the alternative airwaves. Brother and sister Gert and Sara Bettens have tight vocal harmonies that can't be matched by other than family talent. Though known for the alternative, driving rock, and a lot of new wave stylings, k's Choice as a band has shown that mellow and beautiful ballads are also a specialty of their overall years of an excellent musical career.

I have been a K's choice fan for maybe 7 years now. I ordered Echo Mountain recently, and I absolutely love their coming back album. The music was written and arranged more maturely compare to their early albums. Almost every single song is awesome, I don't have to skip any song when listening to the whole album.The whole album is only 14 songs separated into two discs (for no reason). Disc 1 is more up-tempo and disc 2 contains more ballads. If you are their fan, you will love this album for sure.

I have loved K's Choice since I first heard them in 1997. You can hear the musical changes and evolutions through their albums. Although the sound is still K's Choice, a few songs are noticeably happier. The feel of the album is almost like finding contentment, although I am sure there are a lot of people who would disagree with me. I rather enjoyed the album and I am still a fan.

All of the songs are terrific and just a nice sound. It's different from the "usual" stuff and I would highly recommend.

Irgendwie wartet man zwei CDs lang, daß es irgendwann mal losgeht, jemand eine E-Gitarre zum Leben erweckt und das ganze mal ein wenig an Tempo, Kraft und Intensität gewinnt. Stattdessen plätschert es zwei CDs lang so dahin und am Ende stellt man das ins Regal, denkt sich, "Schade!" und hört doch lieber die alten Sachen der Band.

Grundsätzlich habe ich etwas mehr Rock erwartet und war anfangs enttäuscht.Die beiden CD's sind doch überwiegen etwas für kuschelige Stunden.Auf jeden Fall besitzen alle Songs einen gewissen Tiefgang und das alleine ist schon wert sich diese CD zuzulegen.

I'm off to Berlin to see this band in November - not because I'm a fan but the support act is Justin Currie (lead singer of Del Amitri) and a friend is a huge fan. Thought I should check out the lead act - this album has just been released - think it's their 5th. Can't say I'm loving every track - It's a double CD with 7 tracks on each CD (seems a bit weird that but....) - been struggling to think of a good description of the music - Melodic Rock is my best effort. Good vocals and whilst I haven't analysed the lyrics I haven't heard any terrible English which you sometimes get with European bands singing in English.Think I will enjoy the gigBaz

Excellent cru que cet echo moutain.Quelques morceaux rappellent la grande époque des succès FM, mais l'essentiel de l'album est très intimiste... et très réussi !say a prayer, let it grow, 16, killing dragons, when i lay beside you, america, along for the ride. ma playlist préféré, mais je en zappe que come live the life quand j'écoute l'album (au passage, il y a une magnifique version acoustique de ce morceau sur le site du groupe).Bref que du tout bon après tant d'années d'absence.Je recommande chaudement.

Et oui, comme beaucoup, j'ai envie de dire ENFIN !!!Nous avons donc maintenant un nouvel opus et c'est franchement que du bonheur, trés frais.Fan du groupe et de Sarah Bettens depuis maintenant ... ouuuffffff .... une paire d'année, je suis vraiment heureux.Les mélodies, les textes, les arrangements sont excellents et Sarah est pour moi inimitable.2 CD, pour les 2 faces de K'S Choice, la soeur et le frangin ont encore fait du bon boulotPas besoin de vous dire que je conseille férocement cet album ...Allez j'y retourne ;)
