Battery Operation didn't work...Too pricey for this product!
This was not a Honeywell quality product. It was clearly labeled Honeywell on the fan front but the battery compartment had a different manufacturer. The battery mode didn't work. It is very small for the price.

Works well. Enjoying it so far.
I'm an exothermic Canadian penguin, I'm always hot, and I thrive best in cool environments and I like feeling a gentle breeze. Not everyone enjoys the lower temperatures, so I often find myself (as a mobile worker) in spaces where I want to be cool, but the ambient temperature is warm... so I have this little fan in my backpack for such occasions. I've been using it for a few weeks and it is perfect for my needs. It folds up flat and fits neatly into my backpack, and has a good steady breeze that feels good even in the warmest rooms. It is not loud, but also not silent... you can certainly hear its whirr. But it's hardly distracting or disruptive. I always plug it into USB so I have not tried the battery option, but I can't imagine that using batteries would be problematic. If you need a personal fan, this one is probably going to do what you need.EDIT: I tried it with the batteries and it as fine. Beware that to insert 4 AAs you have to lift out a battery cartridge by pulling the plastic strip. You have to pull firmly, but it does come out.

THE BEST portable fan for camping!
I can't stop raving about this fan!! We bought two for our last camping trip and they were FANTASTIC! I used the included USB plug to fully charge both fans before we left home, then put 4 AA batteries in each fan (Amazon Basics brand batteries), and ran each fan all night long for four nights camping and they never ran out of power! Two of these fans worked to circulate air in our 12-person tent. They are light and portable. They stand and stay put at any angle you put them on. We added a carabiner clip to one and hung it from the top of the tent. So versatile! They only operate at one speed and that was fine for me (especially for the price). I found it difficult to find fans that would run on batteries instead of a USB so this was an excellent purchase. Note you can also use an A/C plug but that would have to be purchased separately. As for noise, I liked the low fan noise it made, nothing much - almost soothing!

Versatile and sufficient.
Perfect, small, portable, quiet, two forms of power source. Good little personal desk fan or on the go, at the beach, dog walking, even baby stroller. My use is in my vehicle while waiting for passenger. No need to keep vehicle running, no idling areas, wasting gasoline, environmentally friendly. Not for everyone but perfect for me.

Great for travel - especially on airline with pet
We bought this for two purposes:1) for airline travel with pet in the cabin. This worked great, keeping my pet cool as the airline "forgot" to restart the a/c whole on a stop. The cabin was hot but the pet area was cool. It lasted about 5-6 hours on the batteries, and still going.2) baby delivery and recovery. It's recommended to bring a small fan with us for a warm room. This fan has 3 potential sources of power, an enough flow to cool a small areaLikes:- quiet - we hate noise, as does our dog- portable - support area folds and adjusts- battery and USB powered (plug into 120V with converter)Dislikes:- not the most powerful, but for the price (and quiet operation), this was expected- cannot fold support all the way - would be nice to hang from airline seat and direct flow toward floor (dog)- battery life...can always be betterWould definitely buy again for these purposes!
