This book is great for people looking to get a broad take on clowning, acting and physical theater. It gives a generous amount of examples. Kinda philosophical!

Brilliant writing. Wonderful exercises. The man know what he is talking about.

This book has been such a help! It is based on lifetime experiences and not the theories that other books are based on. It has put things in an entirely new perspective and allowed me to grow as a performer.

It's a must have for anyone involved in teaching, studying and performing physical theatre and clown. Teachers and performers alike will benefit from Wright's generously shared arsenal of games and exercises that compliment each section of the book.

Techniques in this book are very basic and don't lend to humor directly. Lots of filler, too much story. I don't recommend.

This book has changed my performing life. It's so detailed and analytical, you can't whizz through it, you have to asborb it slowly. The author weaves in his experience, knowledge and philosophy along with information from the master Lecoq. It's not just for comedy -- all actors would benefit.
