Is the only difference between the 2 different sets, that one set is double sided?

Not sure but I wouldnt bother with either set - didnt work for us at all. went to charity shop

No they don't, they are children's pens but I use them for crafting also but not on porcelain.

Can these be turned into temp tattoo?

Yes you draw on the spoon ,give it 20 secs to dry place it slowly in the water , get a piece of paper put over the drawing , it lifts on the the paper, then place it on the skin where , press it down gently for a few secs , then lift the paper slowly it transfer to the skin

Does warm or cold water work best? Maybe room temp?

Tried with warm water and room temperature water and couldn't get either to work.
