Food size matters
This feeder was supposed to change my life. Drama cat yells constantly for food. I feed her 4-5 times a day to keep the portions small so she doesn't puke it up all over my favorite things. It was wishful thinking that told me she'd transfer her angry yowls to the machine. It was super easy to set up and download the app. Set the schedule and off I went. Turns out I did it wrong and didn't set repeat feedings so I had to keep going into the app to reset the feeds. That was my error but maybe it will help someone else to know that you have to select how often to feed after setting the time. The other important thing is that food size matters. We started with medium to small kibble and it was dropping too much at a time for just 1 serving so I had to schedule fewer feedings and scoop smaller supplemental feedings, defeating the purpose of getting this thing. When I switched food and the kibble was bigger it made all the difference. A single portion is now small enough to allow for multiple feedings per day from the automatic feeder. I have to pay close attention to the cat's weight to make sure she is getting the right amount of food since I'm relying on a machine. We didn't get the camera. Maybe it would help to have that feature. I like that I can look in the app to confirm that the scheduled feeding occurred. Has the cat stopped yelling? Nope! If she's outside and misses the loud clamor that the food drop makes I have to convince her that there is, in fact, food waiting in her bowl. An unexpected consequence of the automatic feeder is that the dog barks her head off whenever food drops. Every. Single. Morning. Not being a morning person I thought not having to deal with a screaming hungry cat before coffee would make my life happier. So this feeder has changed my life. Just not in the way I expected. I'm now in the market for an automatic dog feeder.

Love this!
I got this for my cat and I don’t regret it! You can set as many alarms as you want a day to feed your pet. When the food dispenses it’s makes a noise which I thought would scare my cat, but everytime he hears it he runs into the room! The food bin can hold quite a bit of food. I have to fill it up every two weeks. I’ve had this for a couple of months now and have had no issues!

Good purchase
I’ve been wanting to try an automated feeders for sometime, and I finally bought these.Very easy to program I love being able to have the scheduled feedings, and an alert given if you want when it feeds them in case your way. There’s also a battery back up. my 2 kitties are doing just great with them.

Great, but a couple improvements needed.
I really enjoy this feeder. As a family, our Boston was either getting fed twice or we’d realize that no one fed him (would always notice within an hour or two). Also, with busy life, there would be times that we weren’t going to be home during “dinner” time and would have to decide to feed him too early or too late. This feeder has taken the guess work out of it. We have it set up on a daily schedule, but can make changes for a day if we need to. It also sends you a notification on your phone when food is low so you know when to add more. This feeder releases food slowly, which has really helped our Boston slow down while eating.Cons:1) If it gets jammed, you do not get a notification. This has happened twice to our dog. The app will show “no feed” but it will not alert you. I would like to have a notification letting me know that it’s jammed like the low food notification.2) the dish does not stay against the feeder. I like that it isn’t attached for easy cleaning, but I would like for it to lock in place so the food doesn’t go everywhere if the bowl isn’t placed back against the machine after every feeding (my dog knocks it around while licking the bowl).*pic for attention!!

Great for our time-oriented feline friend!
Let me start this off by saying our kitty has always been very food-motivated. She always has her eyes on whatever food is nearest to her. She has also always been very food aggressive. Before we had this to automatically dispense and space out her feedings throughout the day, we would be woken up at 330-4 AM by her screaming at us to give her food. When my fiance and I would get home from work, if we didn't immediately give her food, we would also be screamed at.Fast-forward 2 years of us owning this product and all I'll say is we haven't heard our cats' "I'm hungry" scream in a number of months. We have it set up so that our cat gets fed 6 times a day, spaced out to every 4-5 hours. We have never had a problem with this device, aside from the one time I accidentally put the crumbs from the bottom of the bag of food into the tray. That caused a nasty jam, but it was very easy to clean up and get fixed. My only complaint would be with the app. Anytime you change physical locations (for example, if I bring the feeder from my home to my parents), you need to set up the feeder as if it's brand new again. I believe this is intentional and makes sense from a developer's perspective, as your phone connects to the feeder based on the Wi-Fi you're connected to. So if you go to a new location with different wifi settings, you have to get it set up from scratch (don't lose the instruction manual as I did!!!)All that being said, I only deducted 1 star from the 'easy to use' feature, because it can get tedious if you move around a lot, but the product itself is too good to deduct anything else.
