Hard as a Rock Crosswords: Super Hard

I've been doing the NYT Saturday puzzles which are, in general, fairly easy , so I've been looking for something more challenging. Some of these fit the bill--the clues are obtuse and homophones and wordplay are here, plus some of the "There's no way anyone could possibly know the answer to this type question". If you're an experienced puzzle solver you'll really enjoy these!

These puzzles are wonderful! My wife and I have done eight so far. Great challenges! Since one person's easy is another's impossible, I would offer this touchstone. We can normally finish a NYT Saturday or Sunday puzzle in 20-30 minutes. These have taken us 45 minutes to 2 hours to complete even though they are smaller, 15x15. I have already ordered the three other books in this series.

These puzzles are a challenge! I normally do the Sat NYT puzzle in about 20 minutes. These are taking twice the time. Good choice for people looking for the most difficult crosswords.

really rock hard with a very few obscure clue answers

The regular ones from this group are medium to easy but challenging enough to enjoy. The NYT are hard with obscure info, etc. These make no sense. I do not recommend at all!

Very challenging puzzles. I love it, even though I have to look up the majority of answers.

Great challenging book. I like them as hard as possible.
