Nice, easy to use, shoe stretcher
I wear leather rockport shoes. I recently purchased a new pair and one of these was very hard to get on. It appears that over time my left foot has swollen. I purchased this to stretch out that one shoe. The stretcher is very nice, very sturdy, and adjustable.

Unusual vertical stretch
This was the cheapest vertical stretcher… majority stretch side to side. While it took a month on a slow boat from china, it fixed my problem: expensive shimano mountain bike cleats that had been improperly stored resulting in a half inch buckle of the toebox material, pushing in on the top of my toes. A week in the sun outside for each one while cranking on this guy every couple days took the ‘dent’ right out

I have a lot of problems with my feet due to arthritis and swelling-I have one stretcher for widening my shoes and I got this one to increase the height a bit and it does help. It does have little attachments to add to help stretch in certain little places and a piece that works good for the upper opening of the shoe. It does not work well to widen. The shoes I stretch are either leather, suede or a fabric so I don't know how it would work on fake leather but it does help me to be able to wear my shoes. I do have to stretch them often, it is not a one time thing, so I plan ahead and know which shoes to stretch. Also it is only 1 stretcher so to be able to stretch a pair at the same time you need to order a 2nd one.

Only fits edge of shoe
This stretcher does not actually fit inside the toe of the shoe. It only touches the top edge of bridge. I tried it on several shoes, and it was always the same. It elongates from the tip of the shoe. Therefore, it is unable to stretch anything but the rim of the bridge… it just slides out. I needed something that would stretch the bridge, not just the edge. I found one product that can work, from Footfitter.

Not what I was expecting.
The unit may work better on leather shoes,but on sneakers (fabric) it didn't accomplish what I needed.
