Works great, beware of using snap caps.
Works as promised. I did not notice any centering issues. My scope has already been bore sighted by laser and by eye, then by firing the rifle. So, I compensate for the windage elevation because it is a little different when firing a live round and firing a laser cartridge. I experimented with spinning the laser around in the barrel to make sure my shots were always in the same place, and they were. Once I figured that out I just compensated my shots using the cross hairs. I did not touch windage or elevation. I do wish it came with extra batteries though, but other than that, I can't see anything wrong with the product. It is easy to use, it fits perfectly in my 308 barrel and it always fires when I pull the trigger, and sometimes when I'm lifting the bolt to cock the firing pin.I do have one caution if you're using snap caps. My rifle firing pin resets by lifting the bolt. After about 10 shots the bolt started to seize. This was because I never ejected the snap cap, and it bound up in the chamber. I poured some gun oil down the barrel and let it set for a few minutes then I was able to eject the snap cap. I don't know if this just happens with the blue snap caps or all of them, but since a center fire gun isn't going to contact the chamber when it's dry fired, I elected not to use snap caps and that did not effect the performance of the laser.

A good laser for dry firing
I have been considering getting a firearm. I've rented a few different handguns at a local range to see what might fit my large hands the best, but at $100 a session for range fee/weapon rental/ammunition that adds up much too quickly. I did learn that a full sized 1911 fits me reasonably well, especially if I could put spacers under the grips (which is certainly possible)I picked up a Springfield Armory 1911 Mil-Spec bb gun to play around with, and it is an adequate representation of the real deal. Reasonably accurate up to about 10 yards. Costs are way more reasonable than purchasing real ammo, but it would be nice to be able to practice shooting without the noise. That's where this laser comes in.Most of the laser devices I've found were either cartridges of various calibers or ones that clipped to a picatinny rail. There are no laser cartridges in a .177 caliber (bb size) and my bb gun does not have a picatinny rail. The only reasonable option would be a laser that slides into the front of the barrel. And this product is just about perfect. It slides into the front of the barrel and is held on with magnets. It briefly flashes the laser when it senses the sound of the trigger. Certainly seems like it's lined up almost perfectly with the barrel and all of my shots are grouped in a surprisingly small area. I'm sure the grouping will get tighter as I improve. I have no reason to believe that there's any play in the laser, at least once it's properly inserted into the barrel. In my case, the bb gun has a smooth barrel rather than the usual rifled one. The laser could be just a hair tighter in there. Also, the end of the barrel has a much larger opening, likely to make it look more like an authentic 1911. The magnet on the laser really doesn't hold onto the front of the gun very well and I need to push the laser back in every now and again. But, I'm not holding that against this laser product. I'm sure it would work very well with .177 pellet guns that weren't trying to look like a .45 ACP handgun. Eventually I'll make a metal plug for the barrel with a small hole in the center. That should give the laser more material for its magnets to attach to, and I'm sure it'll work perfectly then. For the most part I'm using an app to show how well I'm shooting. I found one I'm happy to start with, although there are a number that I downloaded and have yet to try. But even without any app, the red laser dot flash can easily show you what you were aiming at when you pulled the trigger. Works well for general plinking around the home or yard. This is a very nice device that comes in many different caliber sizes. If your handgun or rifle can be safely dry fired, this is a great way to practice your aiming and trigger pulls without having to go to the range. It's also easier to install than probably most cartridge versions, and aims exactly as the barrel does, unlike those lasers that attach above or below the barrel.Well worth the cost.

great for dry fire on 22lr
laser works good on 22lr. The o-rings dont last long and manufacture doesnt reply to email about new o-rings. Harbor freight does have o-ring kits Cheap so there is a work around. I would amagine Ace hardware has the right size o-ring if I went and looked. The O-rings or the down fall as the dont last long

How to activate
READ THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTION CARD!THEN PUSH BLACK BUTTON ON FRONT OF THE MODULE IT WILL FLASH WHEN ACTIVE!That clear, You want this ! PERIOD..Beautiful, brilliant, & crafted.30,000 shots that is 600 boxes of 50 each or 10 sq. Ft. Of stacked boxes. That is a lot of practice. The red dot that it projects lingers, plenty of duration bot not too much. When I finish this I am ordering 2 more .22 lr & 40 call. For the cost of maybe 3 boxes of shells against 600 oh yes this is Value."CONTROLED TARGETS BECAME ANYTHING IN MY REC ROOM, WHAT A HOOT. Dating myself, I am 76 years old been a shooter for a lifetime, best training aid I ever saw, and I have Looked. Get one of these and have a BALL. JOHN I will follow up in a few weeks, it is so well made, I don't see any problems. And if I DON'T IT WAS BECAUS3 I HAD NO ISSUES! This one is worthy & (this is the only review I ever wrote! , Have fun!)I hope you buy one of these, it's great.

Works great with Mantis X Laser Academy
I needed a .22 laser that would be compatible with Mantis X Laser Academy. This thing works perfectly with Laser Academy. I have to remove my muzzle comp for it to fit correctly, other than that minor detail It works great. I can now run dry fire practice bullseye shooting in my house. Very happy with this unit.

Best I've used
I have a Gen 5 Glock 19 and this works out great in it. No issues with the length of the laser and the end of the barrel. It's a 4 inch barrel. The laser height is not an issue. I can see the target with the stock sights on my SA-35. It has a slightly longer barrel.I was apprehensive at it activating on a trigger pull. It's actually very sensitive and even lights while racking the Glock slide or cocking the hammer on my SA-35.It's more accurate than me :) It's also more accurate than my older in the barrel dry fire lasers. If the censors cooperate, I've attached a snapshot from my first session with this laser. It's using my Glock 19 at 20 feet. I do have a red dot optic that helps a ton.
