I like this mousepad. I have 2 workstations at my L-shaped desk. It's very easy to unscrew the clamp and move the mousepad to the other side of the desk. It also helps me maintain an ergonomic working environment, since I'm no longer straining my shoulder and neck having to reach up to my desk to operate my mouse. The height of it is also adjustable, which is great, and even greater if you're using it with a fully adjustable ergonomic chair, which I am.However, the actual surface area of the mousepad is a little small for the price. There is also a half inch lip around the pad on the sides and a 1.5 inch lip in the back, which the mouse runs into often. If you're working with two screens and need to move windows back and forth a lot, it's sometimes hard to get enough distance on the pad, and I also run into the clamp quite often. I placed another thin mousepad on top of it, and that solved the running into the lip problem. I think it would be a much better product with a little more surface area. About an inch on all sides would be perfect.

The table on which I have my laptop is a bit high and I was developing pain in my forearm from using my mouse. This shelf, which is situated beneath the table, is at a perfect height for me. It is also quite sturdy and was very easy to assemble.There are a couple of issues that make it less than perfect. First, getting the clamp tightened takes a fairly long time and, when I needed to re-position it, it took even longer to loosen it enough to slide the clamp further into the table. Second, I work from a chair with arms and so am unable to get the shelf fully extended. Nevertheless, I have figured out how to make it work and it really does work very well--the pain in my forearm has subsided almost completely.I would definitely buy this product again.UPDATE: I purchased this in the spring when I was visiting family and needed a mouse platform at a level that was comfortable--which was not the table height. I took it with me when I went home and, after using it for a few months, when I went back to visit family again, I purchased a second one to leave there so I can use my mouse in comfort there as well as at home. Again, getting the clamp adjusted was quite a production and this time using a vice grip made the adjustment much easier!

Very sturdy

First things first: The devise clamps onto my melamine sit/stand desk without issue. The only tweak made was to put a small piece of rubber under the clamp, but that's because the desk surface is a little slippery for anything to stay clamped onto. Easy to install, nice size for my needs and a good, solid product for the price. I work 10-12 hr days at my desk and I began having horrific nerve pain in my shoulder, elbow and wrist. I first tried switching to a vertical mouse. Love it and it greatly helped my arthritic hands, but not the other aforementioned problems. This little jewel did the trick and now my pain level is manageable. I love this thing so much that I might name it and add it to my will.

I bought this because I use a built in desk and my chair is lower and it makes it harder for me to use the mouse on the desk itself. It has really helped. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay as tight as I'd like it to when I try to tighten it. But, that might be due to the type of desk I have. It's a granite counter. It's worth the money I spent though. I am happy with it.

Well designed and has worked great since I installed it months ago. Very much worth the money. Was a little more complicated of an assembly than I expected but I think this helped the manufacturer provide a higher quality item at a decent price.
