Literally brand new and doesn’t work at all…
It doesn’t work at all. I plugged it into 2 different controllers and it doesn’t work at all. To be clear, absolutely no sound, no audio, nothing.

Mic monitoring is non existent
It barely works, The mic monitoring is nonexistent, when I plug my hyperx headphones into the adapter the audio either doesn’t work or it does work but I cant adjust my mic monitoring. And apparently if you press the button for party all your sound is completely turned off.

Great especially if you use a wired headset
My husband has had this accessory for his xbox controller for years now. I ordered one for myself recently because I loved his. I added a picture of his so you can see what it looks like after years of use.Pros:It makes muting yourself and changing the volume on your headset soooooo much easier. It truly is a game changer. The new PS5 controllers have a mute button, and I love that about them. But I much prefer xbox. This gives the xbox controller that same benefit. The buttons still are completely functional even after years of use. They never stick or anything.Cons:It couldn't be used with my wireless headset. Which is why I actually ended up returning mine. The buttons have some normal wear and tear from the use for years if you look at the picture. But honestly, that is expected with anything and I don't think the item should be held at fault for that.

This isn’t Microsoft OEM
This is aftermarket. Despite the coloring of the packaging in the pictures, high price, and the almost 1 to 1 model, it is aftermarket.Having said that, it just works ‘okay’. The buttons are much more stiff than the OEM Microsoft version. Could be a little better for the price.

I mainly bought this so I could mute myself when needed. Also it boost stereo

Buyers beware.
This isn’t an Xbox brand product. It came in a cheap little box and the material feels like cheap plastic. I tired to connect it with my controller and I couldn’t hear anything once I connected my mic to it.

Bad connection
Connecting approved headphones makes the sound go in and out and also chat works then doesn’t..do not recommend
