UHPPOTENC Wired Magnetic Alarm Window Door Contact Sensor Detector Reed Switch White (Pack of 10)

Our house came with a wired alarm system and I had one of these fail years ago. So of course I searched on Amazon and I found this 5 pack. It’s a simple magnet contact where one side is wired into the house wiring and the other side is a magnet. Had one of our originals fail last night. The hardest part was finding where I put the spares. 😃. Just completed the repair in five minutes. House alarm back to fully functional. Went ahead and ordered another five pack to keep them on hand.

Alarm sensors work properly. Changed out some windows and doors and had to change the sensors. Easy install.

On first glance, the magnetic attraction on these devices do not seem strong. But looks can be deceiving; these are rare earth magnets which have a stronger attraction property than conventional magnets.Bottom line: the magnetic attraction is at least 1"--much better than the published specs say. I bought a US-made device that was 8x more expensive than this one and it did not have the attraction-distance of these.These devices work great and are a bargain price.

had to write a review. This was so simple to hook up and it worked excellent with my alarm system, ADT, I believe it was a different company before ADT bought them out, point is this worked, replaced both ends the wired side and the magnet side. I'm almost 60 years old and this was a snap to install, I did use double sided tape for added hold, but the sensor does have an adhesive back to peel and stick. had my back sliding door senor go out, didn't want to buy pass it on alarm system wanted it to work again. now it doesn't and didn't even need to call for a tech to come out and fix. took about 10 minutes to fix.
