I first saw it in the mid 60"s it's a good reference !!

This book is a medical reference for prescription drugs. If you want to find out all there is currently known about a certain drug this book is the one you want. This is a valuable resource for physicans and nursing professionals.

It's not as big as expected, with a smaller drug picture section, which expanded helps prescribing, quick references identifications.It's practical, useful. It's nice to own my own since I have administered medications for so many years in so many facilities without one.

A "must" for anyone who takes a lot of meds and frequently confuses them -- goodbye, middle age, hello senility. Seriously, it's a suburb reference book, and getting it shipped for FREE with Amazon Prime was icing on the cake.

This is not the PDR of the past which was a comprehensive listing of generic/trade medications. Less than useful, as it is nearly 1,000 pages less than the 2006 version. Unless you need an incomplete reference source, this is NOT the book for a comprehensive drug reference. I was simply looking for a "technology-fail safe" reference in the off chance my iPhone fell in the toilet. No luck here.

I bought this book for my pharmacology class because it was recommended by my instructor. I have only used it once because it is so hard to read or just to find what it is you are looking for. I ended up buying a different drug guide that is easier to read and find the medications that I am looking for.

I won't be practicing medicine. However, if there is an extended period of time WROL, this will be a life-saving reference.

Our nursing staff uses this as a backup if the internet is down.They find the layout of the information to be easily and quickly accessed.
