DB DRIVE WDX8 3K WDX 3K Series Competition Subwoofer (8", 1,200 Watts)

To start off, its a very well made sub. This thing hits pretty good. I do not have it in a custom box yet, I have plans for it though. I am using a .75 cu.ft prefab ported box I found here on Amazon. Not a bad box, just tuned to like 42 and I want one in the 36-38 range. Using it behind the rear seat of a 2dr JK Wrangler, which has virtually no space for a bigger setup. I tried a shallow Rockford 8", not worth explaining how bad that didn't work out. Then put an SA E series 8... nope. No better than the shallow 8 (and I am a Sundown fan). I started looking at several different brands and they were all way too much money for an 8 inch driver. Some of them were priced more than the same company's 10" and some 12" drivers. Crazy! Then I seen this DB drive. Wasn't but just a few reviews I could find on it, never heard of it, but figured I'd give it a try. Difference between those 2 I tried and this little DB drive was huge right away, even more after this beefy thing broke in. I am running over the rated power to it with a Kicker 750.1 @ 2 ohm (birth sheet claims 930 rms) and the db drive does fine with it as long as I don't try to get stupid with the gain or bass knob. In terms of "what it sounds about like", I am gonna say it could compare to a low to mid level 10" sub from other brands, just takes up less space. So basically, if you don't have a lot of space and can't justify spending $200+ on a single 8" speaker, then definitely give this sub a try! It's a tough little well built sub that puts out plenty and can handle mild abuse! When I build a lower tuned box I will give an update on how well or bad that goes!

I want my money back trash as hell

While I'm not a bass-head I do know a few 5000-watt people who know a thing or two. Almost everyone that has heard this sub sight unseen thinks it is a 12" sub, 2 subs or a bigger sub altogether. I've been running a constant 500rms and on some beats, it's like oh that nice and on some beats, it's like WOW THATS LOUD, Lol. A friend recently said he heard my music coming from my car no big deal as I sat a few cars behind him in traffic, then when I rolled down the window he said he understood why I never answer my phone. I'm running this in a ported box grabbed from here on Amazon that's close to optimum specs although the port could be tuned much much lower it's fine for the various music I listen to. The bass response is great from Rock and Jazz to Trance, set-up right without taking up much space altho later I might do a custom sealed box, it's not over-powering bass unless you want it to be and if that's what you really want, consider buying 2.

This little sub is pretty sweet and makes some big sound! It's probably not the greatest in the world im sure the competition people that spend 3000$ on speakers and amps and drive a piece of junk 900$ car with 2000$ rims would complain. But for me its perfect! Obviously the price is right! It hits pretty dang hard for a small sub and has good enough response to keep up with my heavy metal favorites as well as hip hop jams, I run it at 500w and have had no problems what so ever. Just be sure to set your gain right!!!

good product

Speaker really produces a fare amount a BASS for its size. Son made a proper size ported box in shop class. It sounds great. I was pleasantly surprised. This sub kicks.. Great product for the price range. You will need the proper sized ported box and plenty of power to push it. Good luck

So far do good.. I got two of these on a cab 1600.1 amp so far so good they sound better than the skar audio ma8s they replaced

Dollars to pounds this sub is amazing, hits low and hard out of the gate will be purchasing a second.

Do not buy.. False advertising.. 2 voice coils my butt...jus cause putting high gauge while actual small guage wire coming from the sub itself..

A little disappointed since my subwoofer was tampered with and I did not get it properly stored in the box what I guess someone did something with the subwoofer, I have to try it I hope it is not damaged.
