As a blind wood worker, i use and value these blocks, I use them along with several other items to measure llumber and adjust and check angles on my table and miter saws.

Solid and accurate

So there is much to this but they are great to have this is a nice set. Worth the money. Should have bought them long ago.

These setup/measuring blocks are the first I've bought and decided it was time I add them to my shop tools. They come furnished in a decent case to keep them in when not in use. Didn't put a caliper to each block but the 3 checked are accurate. I anticipate these will help out a great deal. Absolutely recommend these.

Just as expected

I do a lot of work in my wood shop, given half a chance. I recently decided that I needed a set of book shelves in my bedroom and the pile of Oak in my shop was perfect for the task. When making bookshelves there are many ways to attach shelves to the side supports. One of the most common is a dado cut either done on the router table or on the table saw with a dado stack. I decided to go with the table saw but needed to make sure that all of my cuts were of a consistent depth. This set of bars helped me turn an "eyeball" estimate into an exact measurement instantly. While not exactly an earth shattering tool, these bars can help you make the right cut at the right depth every time. Recommended.

I was immediately impressed with how not crappy the storage case is. It's not flimsy and the clasps work well. So the case is a plus with inserts cut out inside that include labels for each of the set up blocks. These blocks are well labeled on them as well.As other reviewers mentioned, I checked them with my digital calipers and they were either bang on or off by maybe a thousandth or half a thousandth of an inch, which is WAAAAY more accurate than necessary for what they'll ever be used for considering you'll be using with your sight or sense of touch when setting up tools. I also compared the squareness of the 123 block with my certified machinist square and it was quite impressive with even light showing when held up to a light source. So you could even trust the 123 block as a right angle source.I won't overall explain the many uses of set up blocks as I hope you'll go YouTube that if you need inspiration. The red color not only looks good, but it stands out and is easy to see. The font is bold and easy to read.I am a picky detail oriented person and I literally can't find anything that I don't like about these set up blocks. I have a smaller brass set with a few sizes that are essentially elongated cubes and I'm always nervous about bending the small ones. Not an issue as these set up blocks indicate with arrows which direction is the indicated measurement.

I have wanted a set of these for a while now. They save a lot of time when setting up the fence on my bandsaw, the height of my table saw blade, or confirming any cuts where I need to be extremely accurate at a fractional level.The machining on the blocks is is solid and the sizing is clearly marked. There is a small chamfer on all edges preventing the chance of cutting your fingers when using. I double checked the sizing on all of them with a digital caliper and they are spot on. The plastic protective storage case is basic but functional - the foam is machined well to keep the blocks snugly in place, and the locking tabs on the outside are nice to keep the case from opening when unwanted.They are anodized metal (as are most similar items) so over time I am assuming that will scratch and show wear, but ultimately this is a shop tool so wear is inevitable.All in all very happy with this product.
