Rolling Skid Shoes 490-241-0038 Fits Most 2 and 3 Stage Snow Throwers with Plastic Wheels Hardware Kit

These were really easy to install and allowed me to get the blade a little lower to the ground than the stock pads. The bolts that ship with this product are too big for the Cub Cadet 2X 26, but I was able to use the original bolts to install.

I installed the shoes and have had them on the snowblower for two snow storms. They are working great, but there are two things you need to be aware of before installing. I would recommend taking both wheels off of the skid shoes and places some blue locktight on the bolts. The left hand one from the driving position if it cakes with snow, can spin off as the machine moves forward. Mine did fall off and I saw it on the ground as I took a corner, so before this past storm, put on locktight and everything worked great! Hope this helps.

We use a snow thrower to clear our pickleball courts. These nylon rollers don't damage the courts or leave skid marks

while the slots for the carriage bolts are wide enough to accommodate bolt spacing of 2-3/4" & 3", I found the new carriage bolts supplied were too large and thus had to continue using the "old" carriage bolts which was not a big deal but I just want to point out the old hardware should not be tossed until the job is complete. I have not yet had to operate the snow blower so I cannot yet gauge the durability of the rolling skid plates.

This product worked just as advertised. The skid shoes that I had used in the past would all wear out very quickly, resulting in excessive wear to the scraper plate and snowblower movement restriction. These came just before a heavy snowstorm (8" of snow) so I had a chance to test them in a heavy snow. I was somewhat concerned that the rollers would stop turning in the heavy snow, but they worked just fine. The height adjustment for the scraper plate was maintained as well. This kit also comes with two extra rollers just in case there is a problem with a roller wearing off.

What a great idea, easy to install and snowblower is easier to handle. Bring on the snow!
