CBTL Intenso Espresso Capsules By The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, 10-Count Box

I bought these because other reviewers had said they work well with their Verismo. I was able to use all of them, but I did have problems with some of them getting stuck and having to pry them out of my machine. I asked my nephew, who works for Starbucks, and he said the problem is due to how the pods are put together. The filter of the CBTL pods is on the opposite side (front or back, I don't remember which) so they can get stuck when the pod is punctured for brewing. I did think the coffee was good, although I noticed coffee grounds in my cup, probably for the same reason above. From now on I am sticking to the real Verismo pods.

Definitely for me NOT as good as star bucks capsules, they fit, but the taste isn't as good, some grinds get through, and they frequently stick requiring me to stick my hand in there and unstick it with a fingernail. That said, if I could get these at a big enough discount over Starbucks (say 65-70c per capsule instead of the Starbucks $1), i'd keep some around, good enough for mixing with milk or regular coffee, stick to the starbucks for straight up espresso.

I purchased these to use in my new  Starbucks Verismo System, Coffee and Espresso Single Serve Brewer, Black , and after trying two of them, I threw the rest in the trash! They probably make great coffee, but they do not work in the Starbucks Verismo machine! Coffee grounds were spraying everywhere, and the resulting drink was filled with coffee grounds. Furthermore, these pods got stuck in the brewing area, and did not eject when I opened the handle.I was really hoping for a less expensive alternative to the Starbucks labeled pods, but this is not it.

I purchased this coffee after reading that these can be used in my Verismo brewing system. This coffee is great; however, these little buggers love to get jammed in the machine. So much for trying to save a few bucks....the last thing any uncaffinated person wants to do in the morning is wrangle pods out of a tiny speared hole in a coffee brewer. Don't make the same mistake and try to shove these is your Verismo - ruined manicures and band aids for cut knuckes will be in order.

My review has nothing to do with the coffee but with the claim that these pods can be used in a Starbucks Verisimo machine. They cannot. I tried four pods and every one jammed inside. And not an easy jam -- really jammed requiring tools to get out. So, if you are buying the pods for that reason, don't.

I bought these because I read that these pods would fit in Starbucks Verismo machine. They do, but once in awhile one will get hung up and I will have to remove it manually which isn't that difficult but can be irritating. The coffee itself makes a delicious latte, which is mostly what I drink. Very good value as it costs much less per pod than Stabucks pods. Very satisfied.

The coffee tasted good. By the reviews, it looked like they would work in my Starbucks Verismo. They don't, don't even try unless you want a mess and want to pry the pod out! I cant dock the coffee stars, it was good, but just no for the Verismo.

Intenso is a very good CBTL espresso pod. I didn't give it 5 stars because I also have a real espresso machine at home and like true ground espresso better, but for a pod. Intenso is excellent.
