This wood block set is based on the work of American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Wright's mother gave her son sets of Froebel Gifts (wood blocks) in the hope that Frank would one day become an architect. Even as an adult, Wright often used the Froebel blocks as a scratch pad during the design process. Wright’s work in the Prairie Style can be seen in his Robie House, Coonley House, and Dana House commissions. The Prairie Style feature free-flowing interiors, low roofs, and horizontal profiles. This set contains 68 blocks (plus the box and lid). Many of the blocks are identical to Froebel Gifts blocks in size and material. An instruction sheet is provided with information on Wright and how to assemble the house design and put the blocks away. Manufactured in Vietnam from beech wood, this set contains small parts that are NOT suitable for children under 3 years of age. Intended for ages 5 and up. Adult supervision is encouraged.

Very nice, but expensive. Our grandson took to them right away and played with them for several hours.
