Q: do you have the same for 1515 series?

It is the 2020 series aluminum extrusion profiles end connector, we don't have this for 1515 series extrusion profiles at present.

Q: Looking at the design, there is no bushing to prevent the alloy from sandwiching in the middle when tightening, is this an issue?

It can be. These are made using cast aluminum- not as flexible as they appear. Depends on how much torque needed to hold your apparatus in place. I use them for light-weight adjustment on a fairly small camera that is mounted on a 2020 rail. However, these are inexpensive so the saying, "you get what you pay for" applies here. IMHO, may be worth purchasing for your application, even if only to test them.
