Introduces positive adjectives, encourages emotional responses, acknowledgements of daddies via cute animal pictures displaying the various characteristics described. My grandson loved it! Wanted to “read” it over and over. Firm cardboard version lasts well. Our copy, still in good shape, has now moved on to a new family😎

It wasn't the 'hard' page book for a baby that I thought it to be, but I love it all the same!!!Excellent story book in terms of size, quality & content.

We have this book, the "Why I Love My Daddy" and "Why I Love Canada" and the illustrations are fantastic!!! My girls love them and are taking to learning their animals very quickly and not just the normal "cow, pig, dog, cat", but a great range (Bison, Otter, Bear, Goat, Polar Bear, Bird, Bunny, Moose, etc...) and I love that the illustrations look like REAL ANIMALS, not outlines or stylized cutesy cartoons. My girls have both recognized and pointed out animals on our walks, so no confusion with a stylized ill-proportioned cartoon.

This is SUPER sweet, it can related with most daddies. My son is raising his daughter and this gives them "special" time.

Why I love my Daddy is a sweet book with lovely illustrations by Daniel Howarth. Each page finishes the sentence, " I love my Daddy because..." and a different animal from the animal kingdom is pictured with a special trait that a child loves about their dad too.Our favorite is the lion, because both of the kids love to let out a loud "ROOOOAAAAR!" when we get to that page. It is also fits their daddy... "I love my daddy because... he is big and strong."Another of my favorites is the beaver, " I love my daddy because... he fixes things." This is also accurate for their daddy. I also like beavers because they are a keystone creature in the North American wilderness and super cute. Their den building resonates deeply with me. I wouldn't mind being a beaver.

My husband loves to read this to our kids. It's such a sweet book to read. You get to see everything through a child's eyes.
