No More Back Pain
I've been having really bad lower back and hip pain for the last year, especially while sleeping and when getting up in the morning. Went to PT for 4 months for it. I recently went out of town and slept at a friend's daughter's house. Best night sleep I'd had in a long time, no pain when I woke up in the morning. This was the mattress. So I bought it for my home. Gave it the three days to fully expand and then slept on it. The first night was a little firm, so I added a slightly padded memory foam mattress topper I had bought for my old mattress when trying to make it more comfortable. Let me tell you...I look forward to getting in bed at night now. lol. This mattress is so comfortable, firm but slightly cushioned. For me, it's perfect. If you need a firmer mattress for back pain, this is one to try. And for the price, you can't beat it.

Exceeded My Expectations!!!
This is my first online order ever of a mattress as I was skeptical of ordering such a large item without being able to try it out first. After having done months of reading reviews on hybrid-mattresses in the same price range I decided on this one due to the relatively good reviews. Very, very happy to say this has been one of the best online purchases I have ever made!!!Delivery was pretty fast in just about a week. Unless you are super strong, the boxed mattress is quite heavy so you’ll definitely need 2 people to carry it. The mattress is wrapped in 2 layers of thick plastic. Once you take the first layer off, get ready because it will instantly puff up once you take the 2nd layer off. Within minutes, it will inflate to nearly its full size. There is a slight plastic smell but for me, this completely dissipated in just a few days. I opened it in the morning, went to work for 10 hours and by the time I came home it had expanded to a full 10 inches (*See picture. This is measuring from the puffed top of the bed to the edge and not just at the height of the edge itself. If you measure at the edge of the bed it will only be 9 inches high as the edge is tapered down.) ... Obviously the smell didn’t bother me a whole lot but obviously everyone is different so if you are sensitive, it might be better to let it air out a night or two first before sleeping on. After 3 days and the smell was 99% gone for me.Like many others, I was also really nervous if this might be either too soft or too hard to my liking. Or if I might be unlucky and receive a lemon (ie., damaged in delivery, not fully expanding, etc). Happy to report that I did not encounter any of this. Though the box arrived a little beat up, the mattress itself was unscathed inside the thick plastic wraps.*** Firmness Level?? -- I’ve slept on a box-spring mattress for the past 10 years and I prefer my mattresses on the firmer side. When I go to those mattress showrooms, the type of mattresses I prefer are usually the ones labeled “medium-firm”. I hate that sinking, heat-trapping feeling of full memory foam mattresses. I also do not like the feeling of pillow-top mattresses as they are too plush, again with that sinking feeling. To me, this mattress is medium-firm and exactly what I had hoped for! The top foam layers provide a nice thick cushion where you will not feel any coils but it has enough support that your body will not have that sinking trapped-in feeling either. If you like your mattress very super firm, this may not be for you. On the other hand if you prefer a sinked-in, pillowy-soft, body-hugging feel, this probably isn’t for you either. To me, this is a perfect combination of what I would call “cushioned firmness”.*** Motion-transfer? -- Movements like getting in and out surprisingly does not shake the entire bed. There is a slight bounce if you intentionally bounce hard on it but again, the mattress does a good job in absorbing motion which prevents the entire bed from shaking like jello. If you sit on any of the edges, the edge will sink down quite a bit and not hold up like a regular spring-coil mattress. This was the most surprising thing for me as I am only used to regular spring coil mattresses with stronger edges that hold up. … However, for me this doesn’t affect the usage of sleeping on whatsoever as I’m not planning to sit on its edges.*** Does it sleep hot? -- The covering of the mattress is made of a soft, plush fabric but so far having slept on it about 30 nights in midsummer June weather without any a/c, I have not had any of that “trapped heat” feeling. I use a Sealy brand waterproof mattress protector on it topped with a 100% cotton fitted sheet so I am not sure if it could be the type of sheet I’m using but my conclusion is no, it does not trap heat.*** Dimensions? -- The Queen size measures 60” x 80”. I am using this with a Zinus Arnav 10” high Queen Platform Bed Frame. I am really happy these two items of different brands fit each other perfectly like a glove!! Also note that this mattress can only be used / slept on ONE-SIDE and cannot be flipped to use the other side as only one side has foam padding. I love that there are two tabs sewn onto each of the long sides of the mattress which is a helpful addition when you need to move the mattress!*** Conclusion: The value totally exceeds the price and blew my expectations away!! I think this might be one of the most budget-friendly, medium-firm hybrid mattresses out there that offers superb comfortability and excellent quality!! Would buy again and definitely highly recommend!!!! If the quality or durability of this mattress changes for me in the future, I will come back to update! For now, I am a super happy, well-rested camper!!

These compare in quality to Stearns and Foster mattresses (according to my wife, who fell in love with one of those...)
The media could not be loaded. We purchased 2 twin XL mattresses to go with our twin XL adjustable bases (these are known as 'split king' in some areas). We had the bases sync'd together under our previous king size mattress and it was great; until we went to sleep. There were times that I wanted to be in a 'zero G' position, but my wife was sleeping on her side, so...After waking up one morning, I decided enough was enough and we need to split (beds, that is!), so we went looking at mattresses and was totally shocked by the costs on 'some' mattresses. You've seen them, I'm sure. Now some of those mattresses might be just like sleeping on a cloud that's constantly refreshed and rocked by angels, but I'll never know, because I won't pay $2000 for a twin XL mattress! Holy cow!So, we headed to Amazon. Now buying a mattress online, without a means to test drive it, is a little daunting to say the least. After cruising through several brands and dozens of reviews, we settled on this one! We're only about 2 weeks in on these and are very pleased that we went with this brand and style. I've uploaded a video to show the unpacking. The UPS delivery tracking stated '73 lbs' per box and they were packed in 2 separate boxes, about the width of the mattress (imagine that!). You'll see me hauling these in. I'm 6' 4" and 320 lbs, so they weren't a big deal for me to get them in, but be careful if you aren't a moose, just get some help. I would have, if I needed it.I took them downstairs to unwrap and let them air out. They're wrapped up in a vacuum packed bundle, with tape around the roll. The roll is about 13"-15" inches for the twin XL units. Being super careful while using a knife to cut the tape and unroll each one, they start to expand really well once you've unrolled them. The first one that we unwrapped, you can see my son reacting to the high-pitched whistle of air being sucked into the bag! They do have a pretty strong 'gel-foam' aroma when unboxed, but it decreases a lot by the next day. It takes a few days to go away completely. We purchased mattress covers to go on them and that helped A LOT with the smell ! Sleep Tite by Malouf® Hypoallergenic 100% Waterproof Mattress Protector- 15-Year Warranty - Twin XLOnce fully 'inflated', the mattress lives up to it's billing of 14", so you'll want to be really careful picking out sheets. We got a set of flannels that listed as 'fitting to 16 inches' but there's no way that was true. Maybe 16 inches if you compress it and let it snap back...! There might be people who will tell you "yeah, but ours has this warranty" or " we'll be here if you ever have a problem with it" or something to that effect, but you're not really going to have better luck with them, and you almost certainly will NOT get a better nights sleep that makes up for the $1700 difference in price!Overall, for the cost/comfort ratio, these mattresses are working out very well !! I'll post updates periodically to let you know how well they do over time!****UPDATE****It's been a bit over a month since we got these, and they're still GREAT! We have these on adjustable bases and they are able to flex sufficiently to get into any of the positions that the bases can do! I'm sleeping great and between these and the 'zero G' option on the base, my near constant lower back pain is gone! I wake up in the mornings without pain! That, by itself, is worth the cost of the mattresses and the bases! The mattresses are doing their job, and they have no sags or any other 'breakdown' type issues, like dipping sides. Though, with this set, they're pretty tall, so they don't get sat on a lot by anyone, just looking to chat in the mornings. I'll keep you posted!****2nd UPDATE****It's been 4 months now and these mattresses are still doing their job! I'm very pleased! For these to be worth it (for me) they'll need to hit 2 years, so I'll keep you posted. Still no issues with 'perma-dents' or anything like that and I'm still low-back pain-free in the mornings! Yay! I think the only thing that *still* gets me is the height! Man, these things are tall. As a result, I need to wiggle about a bit to get positioned where I want. Before, I'd just kinda 'drop-roll' because the mattress was lower and that would get me where I need to be, but not with this set! Oh well! ;)****3rd UPDATE****It's now been over a year and I'm still very happy with this mattress. A couple of things that I've discovered that may help someone is, 1) use a mattress cover of some kind, and 2) you'll need 'tall' bottom sheets, of good quality and that should help a lot with the overheating. I still don't have any break-down on the sides or the top (no low spots or sinking!) I'm still using this mattress on the adjustable base and it's still in great shape! So far, a good value for the money. If I can get another couple of years out of it, I'll be happy! That's about the time that I'll be looking for something else (I'm getting older after all!). ;)
