Ok, but not all that helpful
First, I was willing to accept the misprint on the pages. As the spouse to someone living with MS I thought this is the least of my issues, but some pages contained details under those trees that would have been nice to read rather than guess.Secondly, it wasn't really what I anticipated. There were a few things I related to and I did enjoy reading both points of view. Half the book was their early years before Dare's diagnosis and I was hoping to read more about life with MS.But even with my complaints it made me feel as if we're not alone on our journey and I did connect to a number of things in the book.I may have given 3 stars if the book was printed properly.

A most worthwhile read!
Under the Buckeye Tree is one of the most profound and meaningful books I have ever read. In following Keith's and Dare's life journey, told in their own words, from normalcy to dealing with a life-threatening , progressive neurological disease, the reader learns ways to cope with a difficult situation. Without minimizing the hardships and challenges of living with Multiple Sclerosis, this book provides a way to live with that both from a practical and emotional standpoint. It provides hope through information on emotional mechanisms for the person living with MS and for his/her care giver. It also gives information on how to receive concrete assistance through community organizations and discusses financial considerations. This book is a valuable resource for any person and his/her care giver who is living with whatever difficult circumstance they are faced with.

Awe-inspiring
This is a very special book and as honest and poignant a one that you’re likely to ever come across. It chronicles in beautifully simple prose but with profound impact the meaning what its means to care about—and, especially, care for—a spouse. The narrative spans not a year or two but decades of their lives, enumerating both the challenges and the profound rewards of hanging together through thick and thin. The book’s power lies not only in the story itself but in the authentic voice of its telling by both husband and wife. The dedication and perseverance of both are awe-inspiring.

Love, Devotion, Unwavering Faith
This book has it all. Beautifully written, informative, and inspirational story of a family dealing with multiple sclerosis for many years. Keith would wheel his wife Dare to a nearby park in later years. Dare in her wheelchair while Keith would sit on a bench playing his guitar serenading her under a buckeye tree. Many conversations of their love and things they endured during their past were discussed under that tree. This book discusses their life, treatments, costs, and their strong faith. Highly recommend purchasing this book for a great story. Very inspiring!
