Louis XIV

This game is a little complex so I would highly recommend watching youtube tutorials online rather than just relying on the instructions. That being said, it is fun and intriguing with strategy. I've taught a short world history lesson using this game to talk about the symbolism of the cards in association with great man theory of significant individuals in Louis XIV's court.

リメイクで「マフィオズー」という宮廷闘争を動物のマフィアの内部抗争に置き換えたのがあるのですが、こちらのほうが圧倒的にいいです。若干、システム的に古さを感じる部分であったり、マフィオズーで改善されている部分はあるのですがテーマとシステムの融合はこちらのほうが断然よくてきています。日本語訳は元の輸入元のメビウスが作成したものがご厚意によりネットに上がっているのでそちらで入手できます。

Resource management and area control game where you compete with other players to gain the favor of French nobility by allocating your influence markers. Winning a noble's favor grants a reward that provides victory points, advantages in future rounds or tokens needed to complete missions. Completing missions provides both victory points and advantages in future rounds. The player with the most victory points after four round wins.Recommended for experienced gamers. Although the game's mechanics are fairly simple in practice, the game sounds very complex when the rules are explained and will likely intimidate players not familiar with European style games.Plenty of strategy and plenty of fun.

Really good game, just be wary of the additional customs charges you may incur! It's not part of the P&P. I would give 5/5 for the game, the additional customs charges, on top of the large P&P fee is something to bare in mind though for other customers.

Superior game design and I have played many. Requires strategic barrel placement (influence markers) in an ever shifting landscape. It's like playing 12 mini games at once as each French noble has their own desires. Does take some patience to learn, so perhaps best for dedicated gamers but that patience is rewarded.
