Excellent Quality
Excellent speaker wire for home theater. Quality is really good. 99.9% copper with good insulation. Easy to peel the insulation.

Great performance and easy to work with.
These speaker wires seem to work great (I used AWG 16). I used them to hook up cheap-o Polk Audio speakers (the T-series), to an entry-level Pioneer AV-receiver (VSX-LX103 Elite). I've never done anything like this before, and in my experience I found the wires to be very easy to strip using a cheap (but quite nice) wire stripper from the hardware store. I also found the wire very easy to twist prior to inserting into banana plugs for insertion into the back of the AV-receiver, or for insertion into the plugs at the back of the Polk Audio speakers (which did not accept banana plugs). The red stripe on the outside of the wire was very useful to ensure that I was keeping the correct polarity, and I also found the wire surprisingly flexible. Finally, the sound from the system that I set up is very, very good, and I don't hear any interference at all, even though there is a lot of other electrical wires touching and/or very, very close to the speaker wires at the back of the TV. I can only conclude that this speaker wire is really quite good, and the price seems fair (I paid $15 for 50 feet).

Good wire, easy to use
When I buy product, I like to read the negative reviews to see what is going on. I saw there were some on this product but I decided to buy anyway. This is good wire. In fact far better than I originally used. (To be accurate I bought 16 gauge wire) It is nice and flexible, the insulation is well formed, It is exactly what you would expect for a Copper wire. I recommend this wire. If I need more this is what I am going to order.Update: I have now bought this wire 3 times. Each time it came as ordered. The price is good, the product good and I had no issues using it.

MaxBrite makes excellent pure copper speaker wire
16 gauge pure copper speaker wire of excellent quality; flexible enough for easy car installation. 16 gauge is an appropriate thickness given the run lengths inside a typical car. Getting pure copper (OFC) instead of copper clad aluminum (CCA) will make a greater difference rather than going 14 gauge for this application. Good sound quality. For an in-home application, esp. for longer runs, I would definitely go 14 or even 12 gauge if using a high powered amplifier or receiver.I used the 16 gauge to rewire the front speakers in my Jeep XJ Cherokee where the original factory speaker wires had the common breaks in them at the front door jambs; now my front speakers finally work after years of putting off this chore. I bought the 100 ft spool; will be using some of the balance for a pickup truck restoration project doing a full speaker rewire. The MaxBrite brand of this speaker wire is of excellent quality and highly recommended.

The Battle of the Speaker Cables...
How many discussions about the topic of the titleHi End purists fight and have different points of view on this specific topic.I'll tell you that I've noticed a change in the timbre of the sound reproduction of my modest hi-fi system and I don't know if for better or for better.Previously I used larger diameter cables, certified OFC and 99.9% copper. These cables are nothing special, the OFC certification is not printed on the cable jacket and they seem a bit too light to be 99% pure copper, However, they are well made with many small diameter leads and the outer sheath is reasonably good. With these cables the sound has become more balanced, the low and high frequencies are less emphasized and the sound is more linear.I don't know if this depends on the different diameter of the cable compared to the one I used previously but I can tell you that I like them for the consistency of the sound. This probably also depends on the type of speakers and amplifier you use, I will probably choose larger diameter cables in the future.I'm sure many of you will have noticed some differences in the timbre of the sound and I'm not telling you anything technical.Use your ears even if in practice it shouldn't change the sound significantly... .These are really very simple cables, there is little more to add. Some doubts about the certifications but honestly for years in the past I have used simple electrician cables without having any problems. Then I went crazy and I'm one of those who spent thousands of dollars on esoteric sound systems... , that's all.

Nice Speaker Cable 16GA
Need speaker wire to wire <20ft run for my pool cabana sound system, and this fit the bill perfectly. I like the fact it's Oxygen Free Copper and UL listed at the price point of inferior Copper Clad Aluminum. My music sounds great thru these on my Klipsch outdoor speakers connected to an old school Onkyo tuner.

Would buy again!
I was extremely happy with this 16 ga speaker wire. Contrary to other reviews, I found this product very easy to work with (sufficiently flexible). The heavy clear jacket protected the copper strands inside and the bold red stripe along one side made connections a breeze - even for my old eyes.
