Doesn't cover grey at all and washes out after 2 shampoos at best

I had to switch from demi-permanent and permanent hair color because they were getting so brassy on my aging, increasingly gray, curly, coarse-ish (caucasian) hair and making my hair look dull. Also, as you get older you don't want such a contrast between your hair color and your face -- IMO it just makes you look older. And I'm not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on getting natural-looking highlights, so this is the best option for my needs & my budget.This product isn't a miracle-worker by any stretch, but it works great for me in terms of covering my gray without making my hair look matte and dull. The gray hairs that get covered look shinier & like highlights. I mix a variety of colors to get the desired result: right now I'm using 6N and 4A on my naturally medium/dark brown hair which used to have natural reddish/gold highlights. I used to add 6G to try to mimic the reddish/gold, but it ended up adding an unnatural cast. Likewise I'll sometimes add 3W, but usually just stick to 6N & 4A.Of course you have to reapply fairly often because it does wash out, but I'm definitely willing to deal with that annoyance in exchange for more a more natural, less heavy-looking color.

I have mostly white hair now, any natural hair colour left is a dark ash blonde. I have a very pale complexion, so keeping my white hair can make me look very washed out. So I use a combination of 2 colours of this product. I use light ash blonde (BO1N I think is the code), on my roots, and then I put little dots of the Chai brown all over, then massage it through my hair. The result is stunning. I get so many compliments on the colour of my hair. The light ash blonde appears to fade faster, simply because its a light colour to begin with, so adding the hint of chai brown, appears to keep the all over colour longer after many washes, and the colour that stays permanently, is so so lovely. I wash my hair twice a week, and I can go a month before feeling like I need another application.

Did not cover any of the greys

Easy to use and does not have an offensive smell but unfortunately, my hair become so dry and brittle.
