It works just fine, but has poor documentation
I was having issues with my Mofi router (> $500), and saw this on Amazon. I was on a camping trip at the time, so really didn't have the resources to fix the Mofi and figured this would get me back online. I removed the SIM card from the Mofi and put it in this router. I accessed the web-based configuration and filled things in based on my experience with Mofi. There are a couple of "gotchas" in the setup, but after the setup was correct, it worked as expected and I got good data rates. You might have to play with the configuration a little, but ultimately it works and my data rate was identical to the Mofi. Maybe I'll write a how-to on the configuration to help other users. The unit seems well built and is much smaller than the Mofi. It does not have the optimisation features of the Mofi, but worked well enough without them (and I seldom use them on the Mofi anyway). There are two issues that make I had to address. First, the unit comes with antennas that are at the end of cables. I replaced these with antennas that screw directly on the SMA connectors. This probably degrades performance, but makes mounting easier. Second, there is no USB port on the router. The Mofi allowed me to plug a phone into the USB port and use tethering to access the phone's cellular data. This router has no such capability.

Default password cannot be changed
The instruction manual does not use applicable English wording (see attached pics). Instructions are either incorrect, or do not provide enough details. For example, steps are given to change admin password, but there are no password requirements given. I tried several number/letter combinations, but the "Apply" button greys out no matter what is entered for the new password. The firmware (after updating to current) does not fix the password problem - deal breaker. The online instructional videos do not make up for the lack of details in the manual. There are no troubleshooting steps in the instruction manual, or online videos. It is assumed that all instructional steps work as described. Note: I am not a first time novice with routers. I am a retired PLC tech., with related (not specific) networking experience. After hours of effort, I was only able to set up the Wi-Fi. I was not able get it to connect to cellular service, or the to a bridged satellite modem that my other routers have no problem with. I had my son come and try - he is an industrial networking software support manager. After an hour of trying, he said there weren't adequate instruction or the firmware had problems. I give up - sending it back.

Wi-Fi and cellular backup function
Nice router. Pretty small but looks rugged in design. I purchased this router to provide backup internet. My cable service keeps disconnecting every a few days :(.I got a Verizon SIM card from a store and put it in it. It took 2 minutes up and then my laptop can access the internet. Also, the Wi-Fi works for my shop. I recommend using this router with WiFi and LTE in a failover configuration. It ensures the continuity of the network.

Perfect for internet in remote locations
I bought this and wired it directly to a Cel Fi Go X amplifier and a Bolton parabolic antenna. Setup was very quick and easy as long as you follow tutorial videos. Within minutes of activation on Verizon, I had faster and more reliable internet than I ever did with Hughesnet satellite internet. Very pleased.

Useless. Reset button does not even factory reset.
Currently the worse cellular router I’ve laid my hands on. Only thing reset button does is reboot the router. Having major difficulty setting up static IPs and accessing the router through the default gateway. It should not be difficult to do something so simple. Love it for its low profile design but it is absolute garbage compared to a NETGEAR Nighthawk LAX40 - AX1800 which cost almost the same and comes with 802.11ax standard.

How come the Wi-Fi cuts out randomly on these units?
I have been working with these devices now for almost a year and they all see to have the same issue, the Wi-Fi drops out randomly. I have updated to the latest firmware but that hasn't helped and that was the only suggestion tech support had.

customer service does not know their device
The device looks good, but I received one not as described on the web. The customer service of this distributor does not know this device and therefore could not help anything.

BEST DEVICES IF YOUR SMART
This thing has everything built in, I need so much cause I have so much to manage, and this thing is bulletproof, I have 10+ of these in construction sites in harsh environments controlling security around the entire site, and this thing never fails, if your an apple person then forget it, but if you know just a little about real networking this thing is a dream for inventors and thinkers.

Very Good Cellular Modem/Router
Pro: Worked as described, lots of great features. Very good value.Cons: User manual is pretty basic, you’ll have to take the time to figure out how the functions work.

decent 4G modem with low price, lack of configuration information for specific carriers
The IR302 modem is decent with low price tag. The only problem is how to configure to a specific carrier. What's the APN setting, user name and password etc. I used Microhard modem in the project with plug and play type of configuration. That means just plug in the SIM card and you got the Mobility Internet. But the IR302 needs very specific dial number, user name and password etc. This can be hard for a lot of users.

Router phones home
There's no mention of it anywhere in the configuration but the router sends connection informations to InHand servers via MQTT. I wouldn't suggest the product for networks with sensitive data on it.However, the construction of the device is quite nice and they are cheap. They work great for dumb IoT stuff.

Use it as a Failback
I will start with the Likes... I like the Dual SIM, I can put in a SIM from two major carriers if needed, or just one, It is fairly easy to set up, Good case design, Has external antenna connections so I can use an outdoor HiGain antenna, You can disable the reset switch so someone cannot bypass your passwords but be careful as if you forget the password you are sunk! You can change admin name and password but you need to follow the password requirements 10+ letters, at least 1 number and 1 special char. If you don't do that it will just ignore you. You can also restrict remote logins to cabled network only so no-one can hack in from the internet. So with recent network fails, trees on wires and so on, I enjoy a cellular backup. CONS: The statistics page seems to show nothing... There is no data so I have no idea how much data was used. If you make an error like incorrect password format when changing passwords or adding users, it does not tell you what was incorrect it just ignores the change making you think it cannot be changed... It is a bit expensive, hopefully it will stand the test of time. For Rogers you need to try the various options before you find one that works, And it is lte only so no 5G. So having said all that, I needed a fail-back for my small business network and this provides a slow but secure fail-back so if the physical connection goes down for whatever reason it switches automatically to cellular and I can send or receive emails or surf the internet, I can stream limited to about 20MB/s up/down so I give it a 4
