The Abso-smegging-lutely Unofficial Red Dwarf Cookbook

Its a triumph, a great volume of work!
Got this today, im super impressed with the thorough cataloguing of every food reference in the series, with the best option to recreate the said dish. The book is a good size with a slight matt/silky cover, its really tactile. Illustrated as required with constant references to funny bits, even US/UK conversion charts in the back. Triple Fried Egg Chili Chutney Sandwich with beer milkshake will be my first try, although Im devastated Chicken Merengo is not as the show led us to believe :-) I can picture Amanda spending many hours with pen and paper pouring over every minute of the show and shes come up with a great reference for fans, at the asking price its a total bargain well done A!

Ok
I wasn’t very impressed by the material quality of the book itself but the recipient was delighted with it as a present.

Fun Gift for the Red Dwarf fan in your life
We don’t expect to actually prepare any of the recipes but it’s fun to thumb through and try to remember which episode the recipe came from.

Can smeg, will smeg.
Have you ever been eating a piping hot bowl of gazpacho soup, and thought "man, I really wish I had a blisteringly spicy kebab to eat with this"? And what goes better with a beer milkshake - than a triple fried egg sandwich with chili sauce and chutney?Very hilarious book, and I've had a lot of fun making some of these. My only complaint is that, while there are recipes for sprout soup and sprout salad, there is NOT a recipe for sprout crumble. I absolutely would have tried it.
