Microsoft Project 2010 Inside Out

I have read other books on project management but this one clearly stands out because it nicely covers both the basics and advanced material. The book goes into every detail of MS Project 2010 as the title and 1300 pages of content suggest :)The best way to check if it has what you need to know it to quickly look at the table of content (enabled on Amazon for this book).Another great thing is that there is no need to use the CD because the accompanying files are downloadable online.Finally, electronic version of the book comes with the paper version. I simply downloaded it using the code provided on the last page of the book.The only downside is that the book is not hard cover. Hard cover would extend the shelf life of this book which I often use as a reference material. I would be willing to pay a higher price if there was a hard cover version available.

If you are ever stuck with grasping the concepts of any Microsoft program, then a book of this nature is definitely a plus. This book is long but it has several different concepts about Microsoft Project that can help everyone from beginning learners to even those who are more advanced at it. The table of contents directs you to the subject matters and topics are easy to locate and understand in this book. If you are a regular user of Microsoft Project I definitely recommend you adding this book to your personal reference library.

This is an excellent reference manual. I haven't had time to use it a lot yet, but with 1200+ pages it should hopefully answer all my questions.....I bought mine "used" on Amazon for about 1/2 price. When I got it, the book appeared to be brand new....showed no signs of any use.

It had been several years since I had used MS Project. After reviewing this book, I was able to get right back into building cost-loaded schedules.Also a great reference material for any functionality that Project had that you may not use on a daily basis.Highly recommend!

it is a good but encyclopedic book so no quick startup. i have to plough through hundreds of pages to get started. editor should have thought more about making the book usable.

I'm so glad you had this book in your inventory. It's great for having as a resource on Microsoft Project 2010. It enables me to look up what I need to know in order to better use this software to better my job.

Although the material is good and clear, the chapters are far too long making it a very difficult read (for me). I prefer the divide-and-conquer approach where each topic is dealt with in its own separate reasonably sized chapter. With this book, I found I kept the turning the pages hoping that I was coming to the end of the chapter, but finding more to read. I have only 30 minutes (max) per day to devote to this book and the chapters require far longer to read and digest. Also, the book does not really have practice sections, even though it comes with loads of sample files!

Gostei da parte do livro que fala do EPM. Principalmente sobre Gerenciamento de Demandas. Funcionalidade pouco falada em outros livros. No geral o destaque fica pra parte do EPM como um todo, que serve como introdução para quem quer entender a filosofia da solução corporativa de gerenciamento de projetos e portfólios. A classificação foi por levar em conta essa abordagem, incomum em outros livros que preferem considerar o Project Professional em 90% do conteúdo só citando o Project Server

Questo libro è eccezionale, un'autentica miniera di informazioni. Peccato che non sia in commercio l'edizione 2013, speriamo che l'Autrice pubblichi la versione Project 2016 Inside Out. Comunque, lo consiglio vivamente.
