They only get 4 stars because the cord that wraps the handles tends to get cut when one accidently hits another in the target. This happened to 4 of the 6 in the hour or so that they were used the first time. I repaired two and had to replace the cord on the other two. Disappointing to think this will be a recurring problem. On the up side, everyone enjoyed this activity.

These are very sturdy and well made

Decent size axes for throwing recreationally in the backyard. They stick well. My son did throw one against the target and it snapped in half (granted he really threw it hard). My biggest complaint with these is the paracord slides off way too easy. But if you look at them after each throw and tighten them up, it’s fine. Also I have had to replace the paracord on a couple of the axes (I used 4mm paracord which seem to work best). I’m happy with my purchase.

Loved to throw these hatchets. Balance was good. Very, very sharp so be careful. Only drawback is the durability of the string cord wrapped as a handle. That string needed replaced after one week of use. String cord was easily replaced but it could have been more durable. Otherwise, loved this item.

Well balanced and easy to throw even for those with little to no experience. Theyare sharpish out of the box.However, the cord that wraps the handles unraveled after just a few throws which can be a bit of a hassle until you get frustrated and just cut the cord off. Fix that and these are pretty great. Fun at BBQs.

I'm getting better at axe throwing. Lots of fun

After I add a leather handles they will be better & if I was building them I would tip the handle back a bit. But over all this a better throwing design and a lot of the others out there.
