Perfect for what I was looking for!
This card is exactly what I was looking for! I have a tiny, credit card-sized phone that I keep in my wallet as an emergency backup. I never use it, but it's there if I ever needed it. This SIM card lets me keep a number active on it without worrying about expiring minutes, monthly fees, data plans, or anything else. If I need it, it will be there. If I don't, I pay for nothing. Setup was quick and easy, and honestly I'd like to hire the person who designed the instruction sheet that came with it. Everything I'd ever need to know is explained in detail, but it's still short and easy to read. The only con I see is the cost of using it - prices get pretty high compared to most prepaid or postpaid plans. That doesn't matter at all for emergency use, but might if someone planned to use it on a regular basis.

Be careful, be very, very careful
This card is a scam. You pay money up front and then you have to call a number to activate the SIM. However, the number given doesn't do activations and there is no information about other numbers or ways to get help. Whatever you do, stay away from this.

The card works well for phone calls but not texting. We were unable to send or receive texts

Extra Step Needed When Purchased Via Amazon
Bought as an emergency back up for a trip to Paris. My AT&T phones would work, but for $10 a day. Plugged the sim card into an old Motorola phone. Learned that purchasing through Amazon creates an extra step in setting it up. I had to call the company and have them activate it and then send me an email. It took 2-3 days after that before the phone actually worked, so if you go through Amazon, plan ahead. Didn't end up using it, but tested it by sending a text to the phone and it worked fine. Gave peace of mind when the family split up that we'd be able to contact each other if needed. Card works world-wide, so will likely stow it away and pull it out next time I travel.

Modal SIM card NOT RECOMMENDED.
I was unable to activate the SIM card on the supplier's website, as described in the accompanying folder. Mobal's website is badly designed, but I was able to finally input the serial number, which was accepted. However, my personal information was not accepted even though I re-entered it several times to make certain it was correct. Consequently, I could not activate the SIM, could not call them to report the problem, because I was out of the USA and had no working SIM card, could not use my phone for calls or texts, and had no service for the entire time I was out of the country. VERY disappointing and frustrating. Upon my return, I called the supplier. They did return my call, but because I did not purchase the card through their website, they refused a refund. Although I was beyond AMAZON'S return schedule, AMAZON still allowed a one-time refund.

Took it to Scotland in a Nokia 520 phone. ...
Took it to Scotland in a Nokia 520 phone. Set it up online as described by the vendor and did so three days ahead. Was there for 18 days and it worked perfectly. Used txt messages, voice calls and voice mails. All went through very quickly and charges were as stated by Mobal. Instructions are well written and give examples for how to make calls back to the US as well as abroad. Will use again.

Didn’t work. I Lost my money.
It didn’t work at all and didn’t connect to any network. I feel like I was scammed. That’s it. Will never recommend it.

What a deal
I didn't like the deals Verizon offered for service while visiting Europe, so I put this Mobal sim in a cheap unlocked phone and got exactly what I needed - something to use to call ahead to hotels, send quick texts home, simple stuff. Most calls are a dollar a minute, which might be a problem for a heavy user, but for a tourist like me it doesn't add up to much. And it's so easy. They just bill your credit card for a call. Good sound quality, too. All for the price of a movie ticket. I recommend highly.

I installed it on my Good old Blackberry 10
I ordered and recieved this SIM card with in one week. I installed it on my Good old Blackberry 10. No problems with installation. Setting up my account took a bit of concentrated time, but it worked one hour after setting up my account. I used it for texting and talking between Canada and Scandinavia. The only part that made me a bit nervous was that the billing is a direct withdrawal from my credit card. The user fees are clearly listed on Mobal's website, and my user charges were correct according to their fees. On hindsight, I should have upgraded this SIM card to access data as well as 'talk and text'.

Emergency travel phone number use
Works but charges every time you use(calls and text) outside United Kingdom. Has a UK number. It only works best when traveling to the UK. Is linked to your Credit Card so be cautious using it outside of the UK as it will charge you even in small increments. I’ve been using it as an Emergency Phone Number. I keep a spare phone just in case i’m Unreachable as I can use it anytime to connect to any cell sites anywhere.

Slow setup process
It takes days to setup since it requires them to first setup your account and only then you can online activate your card. It requires planning ahead. The is no data plan included so very limited usability.
