On a scale of 1-10 in difficultly to install.... Well, that will depend on your abilities to operate a screwdriver. I'd also suggest having a drill and bit to start a hole. It just makes it easier. I suppose it all comes down to this; if you're looking at this product and you are comfortable hanging a chandelier or ceiling fan, you'll be just fine. If you e never hung a chandelier or ceiling fan, find someone to help you.Part 2. When it's up... You will love the change it can bring to your space! I've replaced 2 cans. One in the master bath and one over the kitchen sink. Both are my new favorite things in the house!!!

This is a must have if you want to make a Canned Recessed light into a flush mounted ceiling light or even a hanging pendent light....$20.00 bucks and you do it yourself and it pays for itself...think (Electrician)

This adapter makes it easy to install a chandelier or flush mount light fixture over a recessed light without having to remove the can. Simply screw in the adapter where the bulb would go and you have your install wires ready to go.

Used this adapter to put a fancy light in place of the can light and it was just what I needed. Easy install and the ability to slide the bracket to cover the remaining piece of the hole from the old can light is great!

Way more difficult than necessary to install. Instructions are hard to read. Doesn’t mount flush to the ceiling. Stabilizer bar is held on by 1 screw only! There’s no place to thread a 2nd screw. Looks cheap too.

Nothing wrong with this converter which is sold by brand Ciata. In practice the converter comes boxed by Westinghouse, and is made in Vietnam. The converter is well made to hold up to 50 lbs of lamp fixture. Any Pro doing residential work would appreciate the quality and ease of use of this converter.

Did exactly what I wanted. Mounted a three bulb fixture where I used to have a 4" can. Metal screws felt extremely solid, could easily hold much more than most fixtures would weigh.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. All the hardware is correct. Everything fits and works. Beats the heck out of removing the light can and installing a standard box.
