We bought this light despite the fact it had no reviews and got a nice surprise. The item is well made, easy to assemble, and satisfyingly bright. The construction quality is excellent (except for the power cable which is a little flimsy). The item is a pleasure to use and nicely designed. I can recommend it and will be buying more. In fact I will place another order as soon as I finish writing this!

Sorry to fly in the face of all the positive reviews, but I really should warn other potential users that if they are cranky old gits like I am then the farce of a single touch switch to operate the brightness, colour temp, and off/on is crazy.Let me explain....The instructions say a brief press to turn on the light, and to turn it off. Fine. To adjust the brightness press and hold the button. Fine.But how to adjust the colour temp? There isnt another way of touching briefly or at length.So to adjust the colour temp you have to briefly press the button while the light is on. Well, sort of fine. However thats the same operation as turning it off. So to actually turn it off you end up cycling through the colour temps until it switches off.Now I could be stupid, which is possible, but the instructions dont say how to switch it off with a single press, and half an hour of pressing the button in every combination I can think of hasnt resolved this.The light itself is fiddly to assemble and a bit wobbly when assembled but isnt so bad really, I'd give it 3 stars, but its minus 2 stars for the switch.The Chinese must really hate us.

Live in a north facing flat with original georgian windows and it's dark... not any more! Tried a couple of other uplighters (returned) but this one works. Switch it on in the morning and the illumination is as if the entire wall were plate glass. That's on the blue end of the colour spectrum.Later in the day, come evening move toward yellow and turn down the brightness to tone in with other lighting. Late night watching TV just knock it down a bit, no relections perfect! Waking in the early hours and passing through to the fridge for whatever, press the little red button on the remote and you get just enough light not to trip over things but not enough to actually wake you up.Immediately bought a second, if it hadn't become unavailable would have had a third as a backup. After three or four months I think it's the most perfect piece of tech I've ever had. It's supposed to last 30,000 hours and, if it does, I'd say money well spent. Also consumes very little electric. Brilliant!

But otherwise very happy with it. Have a spare one as well if/when this one packs up. No remote but have connected a remote electrical plug to it for on/off

Excellent lamp. Easy to assemble and gives a lovely bright light. Would recommend.

It comes without a remote control and it comes with US plug on so be prepared to spend more if your in the UK you need a US to UK converter your company needs to add it in the description

We bought this to replace an old halogen twin uplighter now energy bills have soared, it costs less than a tenth to run than the old one, and has bright enough light that the uplighter illuminates the entire room by reflecting off the ceiling. The dimmer and mode change are easy to use as well. No remote control with this one, but as the previous didn't had one it's not an issue.

Lamp looks fab, but no UK plug, unable to use!
