The quality of the item, on first inspection, is actually quite good.However, I was disappointed that it could not handle old Apple headphones with integrated mic as advertised. In addition, the volume control was practically zero to high even on the lowest of volume settings.I therefore returned it.It does work with outputting audio only (eg music), so if that’s all you’re looking for and volume control isn’t a huge deal to you then this will do.

I thought this was the official adaptor, it’s not, it’s a 3rd party one.It’s slightly bigger and less flexible than the official ones. I only attempted to use it once, I plugged it in to use on a call and it didn’t work.Buy the official one from Apple, it’s a similar price.

Initially seemed fine (heard you tube vids etc). Then a call came in - and I couldn’t hear anything! Don’t think I’m doing anything wrong, but would love someone to show me how to fix this if possible! (As it clearly a show stopper if not!)

It broke after two weeks of light usage (weekend walks), also not working very well with iPhone (I have a iPhone7). The adapter looked robust and solid in the pictures but it got connection problems very quickly, to an extend that I thought it was my 3month old headphones. Resulted in that I ordered new headphones, then realised it was the adapter. Complete waste of money and resources, terrible for the environment for sure!

I’m already disgusted at Apple for making a phone that doesn’t have a headphone socket. Money grabbing scumbags. So I was forced to buy this pathetic peice of plastic that broke after first use. DO NOT BUY! The end snapped off so it’s useless now. Again DO NOT BUY!!

Waste of money, at at the cheap price. It fell apart after using it maybe twice. It’s telling me to mention volume control but there isn’t any, but I wasn’t expecting any so whatever.

Used this to connect my phone to my car to play music while charging. After one use the end broke off in my phone. Luckily there was enough poking out to be able to retrieve the broken off end so returned for a refund.

Bought 2. Look like new still after a few months but not working. Both went crackly then lost sound on one lost earth too.
