Rhodia Graph Reverse Standard Notebook, One Notebook, Black

Purpose : Bullet journal. I needed something with1.Spiral Binder2.Non-bleeding paper3.Some form of grid or dot4. Larger than tiny5. Plastic or hard coverThis fits the bill! I tested the paper with my Pentel Touch Pen and a Papermate Felt tip pen. Neither pen show on the other side of the page. The book is a good size without being too large. The pages themselves are square but the spine covers two of the grid spaces on the spine side. My grid is a usable 41 x 39 grid area. The grid in my book is a purple/blue color. You can also turn the book whatever direction you like to use as it's the same every direction. There is a perforation along the spine if you wish to remove pages that way. The cover is a hard plastic, matte inside and gloss outside. *edit* The cover is actually thick laminated cardboard with a plastic feel * The spine is a liiiiittle too small to hold anything other than a regular sized pen with a cap. After counting my pages I came up with 79. I probably missed one. Several pictures attached! *edit* after using for the month, I've found that it does take inks a few seconds to dry on the sheets, so I need to move slowly in order not to smear. Also if any water touches the sheet, the ink will smear. I might have accidentally put my hand down when my hand was slightly damp after washing my hands off, ended up with an nice smear across a page 😒, my fault but I was still sad. Lesson learned!!*

This book is an easy size to carry around. It has faint but legible graph markings on both sides of every page. I like it because I can use it for both words and numbers easily. It can also be used both with the spiral bound on the side s or the top and bottom. I also use it as a two-subject book: Just flip it over, change the orientation and start writing!

If you read the header, that says it all. This paper takes most pens, inks, water based markers, even paint markers in many cases with no bleed through, show through, or ghosting. Also most of these items don't feather or skip much on this paper. One will probably notice that the lines of their mediums appear thinner on this paper. That's because of its special coating.It takes pencil and dry mediums well too. I wouldn't expect to get a lot of layers with dry mediums. But one can use some mixed media. It takes erasing pretty well.I've had no issues with my pens and markers, gel inks, highlighters, liquid inks, correction fluids etc. They all interact nicely with this paper. I'd say the only things that'd cause issues are alcohol inks and markers and the heaviest juiciest inks and mediums.This is a squared style notebook with graph paper. It's sturdy yet flexible. The protective cover is nice. It looks great and feels great in the hand. I highly recommend Rhodia products to journalists, artists anyone. 😀

I ordered this notebook. Paid less than 10$ (10.64) with tax. The notebook arrived after a few days in pristine condition. I am very pleased and wish that I would have ordered from Amazon to begin with. I have been stopping at my local art supply store to buy one of these notebooks for months, and I could not find a notebook with these measurements that wasn't 15$ and in bad condition. (Bent covers. Wrinkled pages.)I love rhodia notebooks because of their paper quality (Vellum-ish so pen is very clear on the page.) and dimensions. I am a very visual and 'holistic' thinker, so having the space on a page to have 2 wide running columns side by side or 4 equal squares on a page of graph paper in a notebook that can be put in a purse offers a tool that allows me to get ideas and information organized in a way that makes sense to me. Having that extra space to put down all of that extra, not quite relevant information that sometimes ends up making the difference between good and great is very handy.I recommend these notebooks for other weird thinkers like me.

I absolutely love these notebooks. I have been using these notebooks for about 6 years now. I keep trying other styles of notebook (Moleskine, etc), but I always ditch them and buy another one of these. The paper has a nice smooth feel to it and takes pencil as well as it does ink. The light purple grid is useful for writing and taking notes or sketching and wire framing which I do a lot of for my work. The wire binding is not my favorite as it has a tendency to snag on things in my backpack, but it holds up well and resists crushing that you might see on lesser notebooks. The covers tend to get a little beat up, but have never disintegrated on me. I know I have inspired at least 2 other colleagues to start using these notebooks. I will continue to buy them myself!

This is one of my favorite notebooks. A perfect size and I particularly love writing notes and sketching on grid paper. With excessive use and travel it may come out of the spirals, but has done me well

Love these notebooks!! Great paperweight, easy to see, and easy 'rip out' to discard pages. I work right through the end and turn it over and work my way back again. If I'm working on short topics I often will start one topic from the left, flip and start the other from the right. And I never worry about ink bleeding through or the book not lasting in a storage drawer for later reference. My grandson and his friends loved them too. Ruined a brand new notebook for a knife throwing contest, told me it was the best book ever for "sticking the throw". Great!!

The softest paper you'll ever feel!

Le cahier est lui même bien. La taille 21x21 est agréable pour une prise de note. Le bloc spiralé permet d'avoir des feuilles vraiment carrées contrairement au bloc standard.Mais les cahiers sont arrivés abimés en raison je pense d'un emballage complètement inadapté (ouvert et beaucoup trop grand) ou alors d'un stockage problématique. Les couvertures sont griffées et impactées et un cahier a ses pages froissées.Une fois n'est pas coutume, Amazon a été plutôt médiocre dans son envoi.A noter que ma commande suivante est arrivée dans un emballlage intact mais le cahier est complètement gondolé par l'humidité. Envois vraiment minables. Probablement un jeu de circonstances mais très désagréable.

I enjoy this pad for taking meeting notes and making occasional plans and outlines. The paper is fountain pen friendly, of well-deserved reputation as among the best, but, still, not finest, thus the 4 out of 5 stars.
