This book is for anyone concerned about their health and looking to make long term sustainable changes. The information is presented well and easy to read. This book is not a “you must eat this, here is a 7 day plan”. The book is educational and guides you to make informed decisions about your health, and the food you consume. Highly recommended.

Great book of knowledge and information from a guy who has walked the path himself highly recommended to learn what's good and what's not !

Interesting, but very much aimed at a US audience
It was an interesting read, although some areas of the book were quite US centric.Some of the subject matter felt a bit controversial - for example advocating a carnivorous diet as a possible way to manage the metabolism, whilst rationally explained felt a bit out there, and somewhat contradicted information I have read elsewhere.If you are trying to get a handle on pre- diabetes or hypertension it is definitely worth a read.

Excellent insight. Easy to follow and implement.
I liked this book because it clearly sets out the background on how our diet is limiting our life expectancy when we believe we may already be eating healthily. I'm 55, active ( since 21 in gym or restiance training with bands, a good blood profile, but I have always been boarder line diabetic) This book can give you ideas and a vision on how you can improve your weight and health in an intelligent way with reasoned arguments from wherever you may currently find yourself healthwise. I have already started to take action using Dr Ovadia's book as a starting point.

"Go save your own life" are the last, telling words from Dr. Ovadia.The book begins with a story that will bring many to tears. And it's hard to read this without feeling a sense of anger.Although most of this information was not new to me, the emotional impact of Philip Ovadia's 'no holds barred' delivery, makes me totally determined to make even more improvements to my daily diet and exercise routine.Even if you feel that you don't need to read this book, it's still a great read.

This book is a culture shock..
This doctor maybe lives what he’s preaching, but I don’t get why you are exhorted to eat real food, but you need the extra powders. Doesn’t make sense, to me. Also, the emphasis on exercise excludes people like me who are in a wheelchair. I would still recommend this book, though, as it’s important to take control of your own health. I have eaten the clean keto way for over 3 years, and gained considerable improvement and resolution of several chronic health issues, and have lost 120lbs so far. It suits me, like nothing else has.
