Time Saver!
Yes, you could probably use two plates to achieve the same result, but this item is pretty handy. I use it mostly to slice grapes for my chicken salad. Totally recommend.

love this! so simple to use. I do suggest to use a long perforated knife. Not sure how many uses you'll get before you start slicing the edges of the slicer itself.

Not what I hoped it would be
Really not my favorite thing. I ended up buying a more expensive one from Pampered Chef. This one is just two plastic pieces that don't fit together with any groove or anything. You just kind of balance them on either side of the tomatoes and press. Good luck with that.

Good product. Great for salad chefs
Pretty cool product. Got this as a gift and didn't think I'd use it - but it is actually pretty slick! I use it to cut up tomatoes for salads and pita wraps. Definitely easier and less messy than the traditional method. I worked in restaurants throughout college - I could see this being a nice tool for salad chefs that are always in the weeds. It would definitely improve their prep time and help with presentation because the cuts are uniform and flush. Assuming you're using a good knife! Simple product. Wish I would have thought of it.
