Impossible to set
After having these traps for almost 2 years now I will have to say that I would not recommend these to anyone! I fought with theses traps for over an hour and probably did more damage to the grass than the mole! Tried a half dozen locations and the same result, failure to set. Even precut grooves, smashed down the tunnel and still no luck getting them to set. Finally the little plastic tab that holds the trigger snapped off on both traps. The traps definitely don’t hold up very well to being slammed off the ground or beat with a shovel but at least it was satisfying. Had to give 1 star because zero wasn’t an option.

Difficult to set!
Followed the directions exactly. This requires digging a large hole in your lawn in order to set it, and then my 215-pound husband had to take several tries to set it by stepping on it. Waste of time. It’s a joke!Edit: While we still have to dig a deep and wide hole to set these properly, we actually caught 8 moles within just a few days of setup. This is the only trap that works and we’ve tried them all. Upgraded rating to 4 out of 5.

Very tough to set!
I have had one of these previously and used it with good results for years until it broke. It was hard to set too but not nearly as hard as this one. You have to get out a shovel the clear a path for the clamps??? I never had to with the first one and I was able to catch all of my nuisance moles. But this new one is almost impossible to set without the shovel. I would not have purchased it if I had realized it was not the same as my previous trap. It looks the same.

It’s plastic lol
I didn’t realize the plastic would break so easily. You have to apply pressure to set and install and these. Mine failed on third use. You can get these in stainless steel.

Caught a mole within 2 days!
We had bad mole damage year after year.Had no success with mole pesticides. Caught 2 moles within 2 days using this mole trap. Easy to use. Overall, highly recommend.

Just don't work
They don't work, they are heavy duty but didn't catch anything. Its not as durable as it should be. Its way over priced and definitely isn't worth this much
