Telesonic Silver Quartz Wall Clock w/Quiet Sweep Second Hand - 10 Inch Round

We had a Telesonic clock very similar to this on the wall in our kitchen. We liked it, and it ran well, but after almost fifteen years, it just died. One of the features we liked most was that the old clock fit tightly on the wall as a result of an interlocking wall-hanger which was a feature of Telesonic clocks. We bought this one, thinking that it had the same feature. It does not. Had we known that, we would have explored other brands, sizes, colors, and features. Just as disconcerting was the fact that the clock arrived in a plain brown envelope and had no bill of sale, instructions, warranty, or information on returning it. It was as if I was receiving clock pornography in the mail. I understand: you put the batteries in and you hang it on the wall. But nevertheless . . .The clock keeps excellent time, it's quiet, it looks good, and it is easy to see. Still, it's not what I thought I was buying, and I was put off by the lack of ANY accompanying information/warranty/return instructions.

Nice, attractive clock, I was happy with it. Mainly I loved the super quiet sweep second movement.BUT - four months later the clock is making a very loud clicking noise like a water faucet dripping. You can hear it across the room. At this point I cannot return the clock because it is past the 30 day return policy. I looked everywhere on the web page and seller's storefront for warranty information. Apparently there is no warranty. The clock came with no instructions or warranty information. When I googled the manufacturer "Telesonic", I got a cheasy website in Hong Kong.When I examined the clock closely from the back I could tell that the movement was a real cheapie. No brand name. All it said was "unadjusted movement". The clock ran about 3 minutes fast per month. Not very good.I bought this clock specifically for the quiet movement. Now I have to throw it away. This was a relatively expensive clock, so I am not too pleased about this. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

Just like a bird chirping in the distance or a faucet dripping, when you can't get to sleep, that's all you can hear. And even if a battery operated wall clock is in another room, if it ticks, that sound reverberates around corners and through doors, and you find you can hear it almost anywhere...ticking...ticking...tickingThis clock keeps great time and does it without making any noise. The second hand sweeps and it is silent. I now own three. Love 'em!

It seems to do what it's supposed to do: keep accurate time. It's hard to ask much more of a wall clock.

I got this clock on Feb. 2014, and it is not even a year now. the clock stopped working. we thought the battery charged out, but new battery is helping the clock. apparently, the clock is dead. that's so saddddd..... i cannot believe. i spent so much money to get a good long lasting clock and this clock didn't even last for a year.what a SHAME.PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS CLOCK. GO ELSE WHERE.
