Yaktrax Walker

I bought this lighter duty ice cleat set because my heavier duty set was destructive to non icy surfaces. This set gives me good grip on light ice/slush/snow without daggers on the bottom of my shoes. They stretch easily over my size 8 boots, and are easy to remove with one hand. I only used them 5 times this winter, but seem good as new.

I use these for daily 5-mile walks on icy pavement or light snow, and love them! I first bought the style without the strap across the toe, and I lost them in deep snow when I left the paved path to allow room for other walkers that day. I then bought this style with the strap, which also has a slightly thicker gauge coiling on bottom, and I'm very happy. I had opportunity to use them for several weeks before the snow stopped. I can wear them again next season, hoping they'll last the entire season. I bought another pair as a gift for a friend, would recommend, and will buy again for myself and as gifts!

I have a pair of boots and a pair of Tennies that I leave yaktraxx on all winter, just makes life simpler instead of putting then on and off. I easily can walk on and floor with it them, but because they are metal and can scatch wood and linoleum I take them off when I visit friends.

This is my third pair. I live in Bufalo, NY and we always have snow in winter. I use them when I walk my two large dogs. They work great and prevent slipping on ice and snow

Great on snow and ice. Leave the on all winter.
