The Pumpables Backflow Protector (Long Stem) allows you to use your Medela and Pumpables breast shields with your Spectra breast pump. You can also use this backflow protector with your Medela pump, which will convert your Medela pump into a 'closed system' and ensure milk hygiene. A backflow protector is a device that creates a complete barrier between breastmilk and pump motor. Without a backflow protector, moisture from your milk can enter the pump tubing and pump motor. Over time this can lead to mould buildup. Not good for your pump and not good for your breastmilk! All Pumpables products are free from BPA and other nasties.
