Honda Generator Extended Run Gas Cap Adapter for EU1000i EU2000i EU3000i fits 1/4" NPT Line

I used it for the first time this weekend and it worked great. I was great knowing I wasn't going to run out of gas at 4 am and have to get up to add more gas so the heater would continue working. The previous reviews seemed to have a fairly common theme of the rubber gasket wearing out, so time will tell on it but the cap fits my Honda EU2000i perfectly and worked like a champ.

Fits and works well, but the gasket is starting to shrivel and dry out. I'm afraid it won't last to much longer, I may have to come up with a different material and make one that will last. 12/18/17 UPDATE, Rocky Springs Solutions LLC sent a new gasket to me, but it did the same thing, also it cut and it leaked. So I replaced the gasket with a BUNA-N O-Ring {size 325} the O-Ring is a snug fit and works perfectly.

Unit arrived today. As other reviewers mention, the rubber seal swells rapidly and puckers. Have a mission-critical event in a couple weeks, so will leave the cap on the generator until the 22-hour run is done, then carefully remove the cap so as to not drop bits of seal down in the tank. Other than that it's made of nice billet stock, just a crappy seal.

Bought this for Honda 2000 generator. Used a 6.6 gallon tank with it. Took it ice fishing for 4 days and never had to go out in cold to fill it. 6.6 gallon tank was only half empty. You will NEED a primer bulb in the fuel line you use to get the gas flow started. That has nothing to do with this product whatsoever though. Really happy.

Nicely manufactured aluminum but the rubber seal is an abysmal failure; after the initial installation and use (only a couple days) I noticed the rubber seal had warped and become extremely flimsy. A couple days later my brand new eu2000i quit running and after further examination I realized the seal had disintegrated and left numerous pieces of rubber in the fuel tank. I am in the process of fabricating a new seal with a fuel resistant rubber.* this was not because of overtightening the cap...

The rubber gasket was too small and broke after three days.

This product has allowed me to be more productive when working in a remote area, I hooked my EU 2000 up to a 13 gal kicker can using this cap. Fits perfect no leaks just what I needed to run the generator all night.
