I lost this book during some moves and ran across it again. I like that it gives some theory, math, cam basics, and other information along with exhaust systems, performance information also. If you are going to build a mighty mouse or looking for some good information this is worth it. The engine build sheets are very useful tool and I liked some of the package combos they provide along with the information. Glad to have this book back in my library.

i thought the book was very informative, very detailed and a novice can understand it. nice that it had charts and lots of diff scenarios were played out as to what certain parts do when combined with others.i run a collision shop and have had a little involvment in engine building, but i think this book helped me understand how things work a little better and give me confidence to be able to build my own motor.

I had seen large small block Chevy and was mistified by the concept. The guy who had it acted like he conceived it through some dark process unavailable to mortal men. This selection demistified the process- completely. I can do this- will power and money are only limitations.

Very good book a lot of good information enjoy reading it learned a lot.

I have "a lot of"(more than 10) books about SB CHEVY engine building; and this is for me, the best one about the "strokers"; if you like only to learn and/or to build a "powerfull" SB, you must read this one.

Interesting read, definitely gave me some ideas.
